Unkle Productions has released a soundtrack album for the French TV series Paris Police 1910. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Eric Neveux (em>The Attack, Zombillennium, The Illegal, The HuntIntimacy, Black DiamondA Stork’s JourneyPolySamSam).. Paris Police 1910 is created by Fabien Nury and stars Jérémie Laheurte, Evelyne Brochu, Marc Barbé, Thibaut Evrard, Eugénie Derouand and Alexandre Trocki. The period crime drama marks the third installment in the Paris Police series following 2021’s Paris Police 1900 (scored by Grégoire Hetzel) and 2022’s Paris Police 1905 (scored by Javier Navarrete). Danny Elfman (Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Spider-Man, Edward Scissorhands, BeetlejuiceMen in BlackAlice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) has written the theme for the upcoming HBO Max original series Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. The Big Bang Theory spinoff is created by Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, The Kominsky Method), Zak Penn (Ready Player One, Free Guy) & Bill Prady (Dharma & Greg, Young Sheldon) and stars Kevin Sussman who reprises his role of  comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, as well as Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn and John Ross Bowie. The comedy follows Bloom as he is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. The show is based on Tom Bradby’s novel of the same title and stars Gemma Arterton, Rafe Spall, Alex Kingston, Roger Allam, Mark Stanley, Amaka Okafor, Avi Nash, Aoife Hinds, Alma Prelec and Khalid Abdalla. The 5-part thriller follows a senior MI6 officer who must navigate the shifting sands of political loyalty, international threat and personal sacrifice as a covert investigation uncovers evidence that a high-ranking U.K. politician may be working as a Russian asset. Tom Rowlands (of The Chemical Brothers) has won his first BAFTA TV Craft Award for his music from the Sky limited series Mussolini: Son of the Century directed by Joe Wright, written by Stefano Bises & Davide Serino based on Antonio Scurati’s best-selling novel and starring Luca Marinelli at tonight’s awards ceremony at The Brewery in London. Premiering on Wednesday, April 29, is the Apple TV original series Widow’s Bay created by Katie Dippold and starring Matthew Rhys, Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey. The show’s original music is composed by David Fleming (SupermanThe Last of Us, Anaconda, DamselEternity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jim Henson: Idea Man, The Alto Knights, The Unforgivable, Americana). Karl Frid & Pär Frid (PleasureWild Nights with Emily, Crimes of Passion: Death of a Loved One, Alena, All and Eva, Citizen Schein) have composed the movie’s original music. Simon Goff (The GoldWaves) has provided the original score for the new BBC crime drama The Cage. The show is created by Tony Schumacher (The Responder) and stars Sheridan Smith, Michael Socha, Geraldine James, Barry Sloane, Anton Bibby, Freya Jones, Shaun Mason, Sophie Mensah, Louis Emerick, Eileen O’Brien, Sue Jenkins and Mona Goodwin. The 5-part series directed by Al Mackay (Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story) follows a charismatic cashier at an inner-city casino who finds herself threatened with losing the family home and starts skimming cash from the casino safe to secure her family’s future. Ben Bartlett (1965-2026)

Ben Bartlett passed away last Sunday, April 19 at age 61 after battling lung cancer. The composer wrote numerous scores for British television and television over the last three decades and was best known for his music from the  BBC documentary series Walking with Dinosaurs, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination and won a BAFTA TV Award. His other scoring credits include BBC’s Walking with Beasts & Walking with Monsters, ITV’s Vera, which ran between 2011 and 2025, Sky’s The Tunnel, ITV’s The Loch, Sky’s Mad Dogs, ITV’s Lucan, Sky’s Stan Lee’s Lucky Man and ITV’s The Trials of Jimmy Rose. Among his feature scoring credits are Marc Munden’s 2007 drama The Mark of Cain and Robert Krause’s 2006 horror thriller Blood Trails. Read the rest of this entry »

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the biographical musical drama Michael directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi and Colman Domingo. WaterTower Music has released the second track from the soundtrack for the action fantasy adventure Mortal Kombat II. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kumbia Version), a new version of the Olivier Adams-composed theme song from the 90s game by Mexico City-based artist Amantes del Futuro. Ed Boon) earlier this month and will release a full soundtrack featuring Benjamin Wallfisch’s original score from the film next month.
