Hollywood Records has released a digital version of the score album for the 2002 romantic comedy Sweet Home Alabama directed by Andy Tennant and starring Reese Witherspoon, Josh Lucas, Patrick Dempsey, Mary Kay Place, Fred Ward, Jean Smart and Candice Bergen. The album features the original score from the Touchstone Pictures production composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Gandhi, Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Anna and the King, The Blue Planet, Hitch). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The album has previously been released as a (now out-of-print) CD edition in early 2003. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the comedy No Hard Feelings directed by Gene Stupnitsky and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Andrew Barth Feldman, Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti. The film’s original score is composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Where the Crawdads Sing, Moneyball, Onward) & Jessica Rose Weiss (Cinderella, Don’t Make Me Go, The Independent). Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as two songs from the movie today. Opening in a few hundred theaters today is the thriller God Is a Bullet directed by Nick Cassavetes and starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maika Monroe, Jamie Foxx, January Jones, Karl Glusman, Paul Johansson and David Thornton. Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, Bridge of Terabithia, Sex and the City, The Proposal, John Q) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a score release. Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, Shazam!, Hidden Figures, The Invisible Man) has recently been scoring the upcoming action adventure Kraven the Hunter. The film is directed by J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, All Is Lost) and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, Fred Hechinger and Russell Crowe. The movie tells the story about how and why the title character came to be, before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man.
