Hollywood Records has released a digital version of the score album for the 2002 romantic comedy Sweet Home Alabama directed by Andy Tennant and starring Reese Witherspoon, Josh Lucas, Patrick Dempsey, Mary Kay Place, Fred Ward, Jean Smart and Candice Bergen. The album features the original score from the Touchstone Pictures production composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Gandhi, Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Anna and the King, The Blue Planet, Hitch). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The album has previously been released as a (now out-of-print) CD edition in early 2003.

Shogun Music will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Secret: Dare to Dream. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Hitch, The Blue Planet, Anna and the King, Ever After). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 30 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Lightning Glasses & Tone Tree Music have previously released Striking Matches’ original song Waiting from the movie. The Secret: Dare to Dream is directed by Andy Tennant and stars Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, Jerry O’Connell and Celia Weston. The movie is based on Rhonda Byrne’s best-selling book and follows a young widow trying to make ends meet while raising her three children and dating her boyfriend.

The film starring Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, Jerry O’Connell and Celia Weston centers on a hard-working widow with three children who hires a handyman to fix her house during a terrible storm, only to realize that, as he grows closer to the family, he carries a secret connection to her past.
George Fenton Scoring Andy Tennant’s ‘Wild Oats’
George Fenton is reuniting with director Andy Tennant to score the upcoming comedy drama Wild Oats. The film stars Shirley MacLaine, Jessica Lange, Demi Moore, Judd Hirsch, Matt Walsh and Billy Connolly. The movie follows a woman who receives an unexpected windfall check from a computer glitch and goes on the run from the law. Claudia Myers (Fort Bliss) and Gary Kanew have written the screenplay. Blythe Frank (Kettle of Fish) is producing the project for Wild Pictures, alongside Kip Konwiser for the Konwiser Brothers. Fenton and Tennant have previously collaborated on such films as Ever After: A Cinderella Story, Anna and the King, Sweet Home Alabama, Hitch, Fool’s Gold and The Bounty Hunter.
