Opening in theaters nationwide is the crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon co-written and directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser. The film’s original music is composed by Robbie Robertson (The Color of Money, The Irishman) who also served as the project’s executive music producer. Opening in select theaters today is the comedy drama The Persian Version written and directed by Maryam Keshavarz and starring Layla Mohammadi, Niousha Noor, Kamand Shafieisabet, Bijan Daneshmand, Bella Warda and Chiara Stella. Rostam Batmanglij (Sound of My Voice, The OA) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. A number of major film/TV/video game composers will be participating at the 14th Annual Fans of Film Music event, which will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at The Mayflower Club in North, Hollywood CA. This year’s panelists include Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder) who recently scored Antoine Fuqua’s hit thriller The Equalizer 3, Anthony Willis (Promising Young Woman, How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming) whose latest project, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, will be released this November and Nami Melumad (Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle) whose current projects include the TV shows Star Trek: Strange New World & Prodigy. Colombian musician, sound artist and composer Lucrecia Dalt (The Seed, The Baby) has been hired to score the upcoming horror feature Rabbit Trap. The film is written and directed by Bryn Chainey and stars Dev Patel, Rosy McEwen and Jade Croot. The movie tells the story two married musicians who have relocated from London to an isolated cabin in Wales in order to complete their new record, when they accidentally make a field recording of a mystical sound and find themselves caught between the ancient spirits of the natural world and the lives they once knew. The track (originally written by Collins & Wesley Schultz for 2014’s The Hunger Games: Mockinjay – Part 1) is produced by Dave Cobb and performed by lead actress Rachel Zegler and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The album features the film’s original music written by singer/songwriter, record producer and composer Rostam Batmanglij (The OA, Sound of My Voice). Also included is the cover version of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun performed by lead actress Niousha Noor (listen to the track below). The details of the final four soundtrack albums for the Netflix documentary series Life on Our Planet have been revealed. Available to stream/download now are the Chapter 1-4 soundtracks (click here for the details of each album), as well as the soundtracks for Chapter 5 (In the Shadows of Giants), Chapter 6 (Out of the Ashes), Chapter 7 (Inheriting the Earth) and Chapter 8 (Age of Ice and Fire) featuring music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation & Dead Reckoning, Black Adam, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, The Wheel of Time). Soundtrack Album for BBC’s ‘Boiling Point’ TV Series to Be Released

Faber Music will release a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Boiling Point. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Aaron May & David Ridley (Malpractice, Villain, Arsène Wenger: Invincible) who previously scored the 2021 feature of the same title. The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Monday, October 23 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Boiling Point is created by Philip Barantini, James Cummings & Stephen Graham, directed by Barantini & Mounia Akl and stars Vinette Robinson, Graham himself, Hannah Walters, Daniel Larkari, Ahmed Malek, Stephen McMillan, Shaun Fagan and Taz Skylar. ‘Life on Our Planet’ Chapters 1-4 Soundtrack Albums Details

Following last week’s release of the “suites & themes” album, Netflix Music will release eight more soundtracks for the streamer’s original documentary series Life on Our Planet. The albums feature the original score from all eight episodes of the show composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, His Dark Materials, The LEGO Batman Movie, Top Gun: Maverick) and recorded with the Royal National Orchestra. The soundtracks will be released digitally tomorrow, October 20.
