Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Viola Davis, Josh Andrés Rivera and Jason Schwartzman. The film’s original score is composed by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, King Kong, Signs, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music today (click here for the full album details). Also opening wide is DreamWorks Animation’s sequel Trolls Band Together directed by Walt Dohrn and starring Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Camila Cabello, Eric André, Amy Schumer, Troye Sivan, Daveed Diggs, Andrew Rannells, Zosia Mamet, Zooey Deschanel and Kid Cudi. Theodore Shapiro (Severance, The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, Spy, Bombshell, Marley & Me) has composed the film’s original score. Timberlake & Mike Elizondo serve as the project’s executive music producers and Joseph Shirley (Creed III, The Book of Boba Fett) is credited as song producer. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring Shapiro’s score, while RCA Records has released the songs from the movie, including *NSYNC’s original track Better Days.
