Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the romantic comedy What Happens Later directed by Meg Ryan and starring David Duchovny and Ryan. The film’s original music is composed by David Boman (Wyrm, Moonshot, Please Hold). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by The Streamline Modernes, Luscious Bandit, The Brentwood Hellows, The Four Words & Sage today. Also opening wide is the thriller The Marsh King’s Daughter directed by Neil Burger and starring Daisy Ridley, Ben Mendelsohn, Garrett Hedlund, Brooklynn Prince, Caren Pistorius and Gil Birmingham. Adam Janota Bzowski (Saint Maud, Black Mirror: Loch Henry, Here Before, Femme) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ Soundtrack Album Details

The track list of the soundtrack album for the prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes has been revealed. The album features seventeen songs from and inspired by the film performed by lead actress Rachel Zegler (including her previously released rendition of The Hanging Tree), Flatland Cavalry, Sierra Ferrell, Molly Tuttle, Bella White, Billy Strings, The Covey Band, Charles Wesley Godwin & others. Already available now on all major digital music platforms is the original song Can’t Catch Me Now co-written (with Dan Nigro) and performed by Olivia Rodrigo (listen to the full track after the jump). Dave Cobb serves as the project’s executive music producer. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 17 by Geffen Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is set to be released on January 19, 2024 (click here to order) and a vinyl edition will be coming out a few weeks later (click here to pre-order). ‘Under the Boardwalk’ Soundtrack EP Released

Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack EP for the animated feature Under the Boardwalk. The 6-track EP features the film’s original songs written by Jonathan Sadoff (Ingrid Goes West, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Peanut Butter Falcon) & Grammy Award-winning songwriter Sean Douglas, produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (The Santa Clauses, Gossip Girl) and performed by the movie’s voice cast, including Keke Palmer, Michael Cera and Bobby Cannavale. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to all six songs after the jump. Under the Boardwalk is directed by David Soren and also stars Gideon Adlon, John Magaro, Cassandra Scerbo, Vanessa Bell Calloway and Steve Schirripa. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original documentary Sly. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tyler Strickland (The American Meme, Audrie & Daisy, Navajo Police: Class 57, Trial by Media, Changing the Game). ‘The Movie Teller’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for the Spanish/French/Chilean drama The Movie Teller (La contadora de películas). The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible,  A Monster Calls, The Orphanage, Hercules, Devil, Crimson Peak). The soundtrack will be released next week and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. The Movie Teller is directed by Lone Scherfig (An Education) and stars Bérénice Bejo, Antonio de la Torre, Daniel Brühl, Alondra Valenzuela and Sara Becker. The movie tells the story of a young woman uses her storytelling gifts to share the magic of the pictures she has seen in the cinema with the poor inhabitants of a desert mining community. ‘Rustin’ Soundtrack Album Released

Netflix Music has released the official soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film Rustin. The album features the movie’s original score written by Grammy Award-winning saxophonist/composer Branford Marsalis (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks). Also included songs performed by Victor Ryan Robertson, Tonya Boyd-Cannon, as well as Ledisi’s The Knowing (co-written by Marsalis), which has previously been released last week. ‘La Petite’ Soundtrack Album Details

Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for the French/Belgian drama La petite. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, The Father, This Is England, Samba). The soundtrack will be released on December 8 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. A first track (Les Souvenirs et les Èmotions) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out below. ABKCO Records will release the official soundtrack album for Sofia Coppola’s biographical drama Priscilla. The album features a selection of the songs from the movie by artists including Ramones, Frankie Avalon, The Righteous Brothers, The Little Dipper, Spectrum, The Orlons, Brenda Lee & others. Also included is Sons of Raphael’s original instrumental track My Elixir, which is already available as digital single now, as well as other music from the film. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 3 and will be available to stream here. Phoenix & Randall Poster serve as the project’s music supervisors.
