Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the disaster movie Twisters directed by Lee Isaac Chung and starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, Glen Powell, Nik Dodani, Sasha Lane, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, Kiernan Shipka and Daryl McCormack. The film’s original score is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Shazam!, The Flash, Blade Runner 2049, The Invisible Man, Hidden Figures). Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music on August 2. Atlantic Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie today. Opening semi-wide in around 800 U.S. theaters is the Irish supernatural horror thriller Oddity written and directed by Damian Mc Carthy and starring Gwilym Lee, Carolyn Bracken, Tadhg Murphy, Caroline Menton, Steve Wall, Joe Rooney and Jonathan French. Richard G. Mitchell (A Good Woman, To Kill a King, Moby Dick, Grand Theft Parsons, Born American) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works.
