Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for Angel Studios’ animated fantasy series The Wingfeather Saga. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by The Arcadian Wild, Kurt Heinecke and Ben Shive. Also included is the original song Carry the Fire by Shive feat. Taylor Leonhardt (already available to stream/download now and also embedded after the jump). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Angel Studios has previously released an album featuring the music from Season 1 last year. The Wingfeather Saga is based on Andrew Peterson’s best-selling books and follows the adventures of the three Igiby children as they journey to uncover the truth about their family’s past and their rightful place in the kingdom of Aerwiar. Composer Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, The Equalizer 3, May December, Emancipation, The Good Shepherd, The Affair, Ray Donovan) is reuniting with director Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Dear Evans Hansen) on the upcoming comedy Nonnas. The film starring Vince Vaughn, Susan Sarandon, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Linda Cardellini, Brenda Vaccaro, Drea De Matteo, Michael Rispoli, Joe Manganiello & Campbell Scott is based on the true story of Brooklyn native Joe Scaravella. The movie follows Scarvella who – after losing his beloved mother –  yearns for a second chance at life and – motivated by his Italian mother’s love of cooking – opens a restaurant unlike any other by hiring the most unlikely team of chefs consisting of grandmothers. Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for Marvel’s Hulu original animated series Hit-Monkey. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Daniel Rojas (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.Who Invented Charlie?, Fly Hard, Monster High). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 19 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, Lisa Frankenstein, Lady Chatterley’s LoverThe OfferPhysical) has been hired to score the upcoming animated musical Bad Fairies. Toby Marlow & Lucy Moss (best known for their work on the stage musical Six) are writing the original songs for the film directed by Megan Nicole Dong (Centaurworld) Summer is also producing the songs for the movie, which is set contemporary London and follows badass gang of fairies who break every rule in the book. B Original has released the first-ever soundtrack album for 2010 French/Belgian romantic comedy Romantics Anonymous (Les Émotifs anonymes) co-written and directed by Jean-Pierre Améris and starring Benoît Poelvoorde, Isabelle Carré, Lorella Cravotta and Jacques Boudet. Nonesuch Records will release a soundtrack album for the PBS documentary Leonardo di Vinci. The album features the original score from the 2-part film written by Pulitzer Prize- & Grammy Award-winning composer Caroline Shaw (Fleishman Is in Trouble, The Sky Is Everywhere, Madeline Madeline) and performed by Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion and Roomful of Teeth.
