Andrew Scott Bell (Psycho Storm Chasers, Witness Infection, See You Next Christmas, Home Sweet Home) will release a soundtrack album for the British slasher/horror film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey. The album features the composer’s original score from the movie and will be released digitally on February 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and stars Nikolai Leon, Craig David Dowsett, Maria Taylor, Chris Cordell, Natasha Rose Mills, Amber Doig-Thorne and Danielle Ronald. The movie follows follows the 6-foot Pooh and his sidekick Piglet who – after being left to fend for themselves by Christopher Robin – go on a murderous rampage through the Hundred Acre Wood . Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1975 thriller The Human Factor (Il giustiziere) directed by Edward Dmytryk and starring George Kennedy, John Mills, Raf Vallone, Barry Sullivan, Rita Tushingham & Haydee Politoff and starring. The album features the newly remastered original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight). Bryce Dessner (Cyrano, The Two PopesBardo, IrresistibleThe Kitchen) of the rock band The National has composed the original music for the upcoming romantic comedy She Came to Me. The film is written and directed by Rebecca Miller (Maggie’s Plan, The Ballad of Jack and Rose) and stars Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei, Brian d’Arcy James, Joanna Kulig and Anne Hathaway. The movie is set in New York City and follows a composer suffering from writer’s block and unable to finish the score for his big comeback opera who – at the behest of his wife/formerly his therapist – sets out in search of inspiration. Hollywood Bowl 2023 Season Schedule Announced

hollywood-bowlThe Hollywood Bowl has announced this summer’s season schedule, which includes a number of film music concerts. On June 24, CineConcerts will present Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in Concert with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra performing Alexandre Desplat’s score live-to-picture (click here for more details). John Williams will return to the Bowl on July 7, 8 & 9 for the concert Maestro of the Movies. The composer himself and his colleague Gustavo Dudamel will share the podium for three nights of movie music performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, including selections with film clips (visit the Bowl’s website for more information). Music Box Publishing has released a soundtrack album for the French/Finnish dramatic thriller Heartbeast (Pulse). The album features the film’s original score composed by JB Dunckel (Summer of 85, K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Capital in the Twenty-First Century) of AIR. Also included are songs performed by lead acturess Elsi Sloan, as well as Chilla, Mercedes Bentso, Rim Laurens & others. The film is directed by Sonja Heiss (Hotel Very Welcome) and stars Arsseni Bultmann, Laura Tonke, Pola Geiger, Devid Striesow and Casper von Bülow. The movie is directed by Wendy Rogers and features the voices of Noah Jupe, Mandy Patinkin, Brian Tyree Henry, Pixie Davies, Natasia Demetriou, Sian Clifford, Benedict Wong, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Miranda Richardson, Aasif Mandvi and Dawn French. Playwright Conor McPherson is set to write and direct a film adaptation of the stage musical Girl from the North Country. Chlöe Bailey, Tosin Cole, Olivia Colman and Woody Harrelson are attached to star in the movie based on McPherson’s Great Depression-set musical inspired by the songs of Bob Dylan about a group of travelers whose lives intersect in a guesthouse filled with music, life and hope. The film is directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House, Naked) and stars Rachel True who reprises her role as Mary Jane from the original 1998 movie (scored by Alf Clausen), as well as Dexter Darden, Moses Storm, Ramona Young, Joel Courtney, Ash Santos and David Koechner.
