Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the British biographical drama Lee. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat and Marion Cotillard. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The King’s Speech, The Queen, Godzilla). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Lee is directed by Ellen Kuras and stars Kate Winslet, Josh O’Connor, Andrea Riseborough, Andy Samberg, Alexander Skarsgård and Marion Cotillard. The movie tells the true story of photographer Elizabeth ‘Lee’ Miller, a fashion model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (September 27, 2024)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature The Wild Robot written and directed by Chris Sanders and starring Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames and Mark Hamill. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Green Book, King Richard, Haunted Mansion, Secret Invasion, The Color Purple, Dear White People, Mrs. America). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as two original songs co-written and performed by Maren Morris today. Also opening nationwide is the sci-fi epic Megalopolis written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Kathryn Hunter, Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Fishburne. Osvaldo Golijov (Youth Without Youth, The Man Who Cried, Twixt, The Oath) has composed the film’s original score. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, two original songs by Grace VanderWaal and several tracks by other artists today. Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, The Queen, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla) is attached to score the upcoming biographical drama LEE. The film will be directed by Ellen Kuras (The Betrayal) and star Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Connor. The movie centers on the wartime experiences of Lee Miller who traded a glamorous career as a Vogue cover model for a dangerous career as a WWII photographer who chronicled the fighting on the allied front lines and exposed the atrocities of Hitler’s Nazi Germany.
