The details of the score album for the action adventure The Man With the Iron Fists have been announced. The album features the film’s original score composed by RZA and Howard Drossin. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 25, 2012 by Soul Temple Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are available after the jump. As previously announced, the label has also announced a separate soundtrack featuring the film’s songs. The Man with the Iron Fists is directed by RZA, presented by Quentin Tarantino, co-written by RZA and Eli Roth and stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu. Relativity Music Group has released the official soundtrack album for the action thriller End of Watch. The album features selections from the film’s original score composed by David Sardy (Zombieland, 21), as well as the tracks Lisa’s Coming by the Latin Rascals, Harder Than You Think by Public Enemy, and Hey! Marco Beltrami to Score ‘The Wolverine’

Marco Beltrami confirmed in a recent interview with Film Music Reporter that he has signed on to score the upcoming comic book adaptation The Wolverine. The film is directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, Identity) and stars Hugh Jackman who returns in the role he originated in the X-Men franchise and is joined by actors Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada and Brian Tee. The movie follows Logan/Wolverine on his travels to Japan, where he engages a mysterious figure from his past in a fight that has lasting consequences. Academy Award-winning screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) and Mark Bomback (Unstoppable, Live Free or Die Hard) have penned the script. ‘Bound for Glory’ Soundtrack Released

Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack CD release for Hal Ashby’s 1976 film Bound for Glory starring David Carradine. The album features the previously unreleased original score from the film composed by Leonard Rosenman (Barry Lyndon), as well as the content of the original 1976 album featuring the tunes of Woody Guthrie, which were adapted for the project by Rosenman who received the Academy Award in the Best Music, Original Song Score and Its Adaptation or Best Adaptation Score category for his work on the film. Atli Orvarsson is currently scoring the new NBC drama Chicago Fire. The show is created by Michael Brandt & Derek Haas (3:10 to Yuma, Wanted) and stars Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Lauren German, Monica Raymund, Charlie Barnett, Teri Reeves, David Eigenberg and Eamonn Walker. The series follows the lives of the firefighters, rescue squad and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department at the firehouse of Engine 51. Brandt and Haas are also executive producing the Universal Television and Wolf Films Production with Dick Wolf (Law & Order), Matt Olmstead (Prison Break), Joe Chappelle (Fringe), Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian Byrne who recently was nominated in the Discovery of the Year category at the World Soundtrack Awards for his work on last year’s Albert Nobbs. The Good Doctor directed by Lance Daly and starring Orlando Bloom, Riley Keough, Taraji B. Henson, Rob Morrow and Michael Pena follows a doctor who meets an 18-year-old patient suffering from a kidney infection and begins tampering with her treatment when her health starts improving. A number of new TV shows are premiering this week:
Premiering this Monday, September 17 on NBC is the new drama Revolution created by Eric Kripke, produced by J.J. Abrams and starring Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridako, Elizabeth Mitchell, Anna Lise Phillips, Zak Orth and Giancarlo Esposito. Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Hop) who is also scoring the Kripke-created CW series Supernatural is writing the original music for the sci-fi show, which follows follows a group of people struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the British thriller Cleanskin. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simon Lambros (The Last Horror Movie). The soundtrack has been released digitally earlier this week and is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. Cleanskin is written and directed by Hadi Hajaig and stars Sean Bean as a Secret Service Agent who is faced with the task of pursuing and eliminating a suicide bomber and his terrorist cell. Abhin Galeya, Charlotte Rampling, James Fox, Tuppence Middleton, Shivani Ghai and Michelle Ryan are co-starring in the film. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out this afternoon at the NOKIA Theatre LA LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. Javier Navarrete won his first Emmy Award for his score for HBO’s original movie Hemingway & Gellhorn in the Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score) category. John Lunn received the award for his music for Downtown Abbey in the Outstandig Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) category. Paul Englishby also received his first Emmy in the Outstanding Main Title Theme Music category for his theme for BBC’s Page Eight directed by David Hare and starring Bill Nighy, Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes.
