Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age romantic drama Where Hands Touch. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne Chmelewsky. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Where Hands Touch is written and directed by Amma Asante and stars Amandla Stenberg, George MacKay, Abbie Cornish, Christopher Eccleston, Tom Goodman-Hill, Tom Sweet and Olivia Vinall. The movie is set in 1944 Germany and centers on a black German teenager who falls in love with a member of the Hitler Youth.

Director Amma Asante revealed on Twitter that composer Anne Chmelewsky is currently recording her score for the upcoming period drama Where Hands Touch. The film is written and directed by Asante and stars Amandla Stenberg, George Mackay and Abbie Cornish. The movie takes place in Germany in 1944 where a 15-year-old girl, daughter of a white German mother and a black father, lives in fear due to the color of her skin and falls in love with the son of a prominent SS officer. Charlie Hanson (Cemetery Junction) is producing the project.

The full details of the soundtrack album for Amma Asante’s romantic drama A United Kingdom have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Patrick Doyle (Sense and Sensibility, Cinderella, Thor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Brave, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). The soundtrack will be released physically on February 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Patrick Doyle to Score Amma Asante’s ‘A United Kingdom’
Director Amma Asante announced on Twitter that Patrick Doyle is scoring the upcoming period drama A United Kingdom and will be recording his music with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The movie directed by Asante (Belle) stars David Oyelowo, Rosamund Pike, Jack Davenport, Terry Pheto, Tom Felton, Arnold Oceng, Jack Lowden and Laura Carmichael. The movie is based on the book Colour Bar by Susan Williams and tells the true love story between Seretse Khama, the King of Botswana, who fell in love with London office worker Ruth Williams in 1947. Guy Hibbert (Five Minutes of Heaven) has written the screenplay.
Rachel Portman Scoring ‘Belle’
Rachel Portman is currently recording her score for the upcoming period drama Belle. The film is directed by Amma Asante (A Way of Life) and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tom Wilkinson, Sarah Gadon, Miranda Richardson, Penelope Wilton, Sam Reid, Tom Felton, Matthew Goode, James Norton and Emily Watson. The movie follows a mixed–race girl who is raised as an aristocratic lady in 18th century England Story and faces class and color prejudices and develops a relationship with a vicar’s son who is an advocate for slave emancipation. Misan Sagay (The Secret Laughter of Women) wrote the screenplay with Asante and and Damian Jones (The Iron Lady, Millions, The History Boys) is producing the project.
