The album includes the composer’s score for the 1982 CBS movie One Shoe Makes It Murder directed by William Hale and starring Robert Mitchum & Angie Dickinson, as well as his music for the 1981 television movie Killjoy directed by John Llewellyn Moxey and starring Kim Basinger, Robert Culp, Stephen Macht, John Rubenstein & Nancy Marchand. The Bruce Broughton Collection – Volume 1 is now available to order as a limited CD edition on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio clips and find out more about the soundtrack. The Television Academy has announced a number of rules changes for the 78th & 79th Emmy Awards competition in 2025 & 2026, including an update in the Music – Main Title Theme category for 2026. The new rules state that a “Main Title Theme must appear in 50% or more of eligible episodes submitted for the 2026 Emmy competition. The Main Title Theme has been further defined as a musical fingerprint and calling card that is identifiable and unique to a show, thereby drawing an audience in by setting the show’s tone and what is to come.” Read the rest of this entry »
