Talbert and is based on his 2003 novel about a flight attendant who is determined not to show up to her baby sister’s engagement party without a fiance of her own and begins searching for a man while on the job. Paula Patton stars as the flight attendant, alongside Derek Luke, Adam Brody, Trey Songz, Taye Diggs, Christina Milian and Djimon Hounsou. Steven J. Wolfe (500 Days of Summer, Miss March) is producing the picture. Talbert’s previous directorial feature effort First Sunday starring Ice Cube featured a score by Stanley Clarke. ‘Filly Brown’ Soundtrack Details

The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article soon. Filly Brown is directed by Youssef Delara & Michael D. Olmos and stars Gina Rodriguez, Jenni Rivera, Lou Diamond Phillips, Edward James Olmos, Emilio River, Noel Gugliemi, Kerry Norton and Chrissie Fit. ’42’ Score Album Announced

42-scoreWaterTower Music will release a score album for the sports drama 42. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Isham (Crash, MiracleA River Runs Through It) who recorded his orchestral score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 9, 2013. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack album featuring songs from the film, as well as one track from the score. 42 is written and directed by Brian Helgeland and stars Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, Christopher Meloni, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer, Judy Tylor, Jon Bernthal, Nicole Beharie and T.R. Knight. The movie tells the story of legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers. The film is directed by Jeff Bleckner (The Russell Girl, Loving Leah) and stars Alexis Bledel and Zachary Levi. The movie follows a waitress who meets a jewelry store clerk who suffers from memory problems. A brain aneurysm three years earlier gives the clerk’s character a blank slate the second his alarm wakes him each day. Barry Morrow (Rain Man, Bill) has written the teleplay based on a story by Michael Kase (co-producer of Pain and Gain). isc235booklet.inddIntrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for John Frankenheimer’s 1964 thriller Seven Days in May written by Rod Serling and starring Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Fredric March and Ava Gardner. The album features the film’s complete score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith. Included on the same CD is the world premiere release of the score for the 1973 thriller The MacKintosh Man directed by John Huston and starring Paul Newman and James Mason. angels-shareQuartet Records has released a soundtrack album for Ken Loach’s comedy drama The Angel’s Share. The album features the film’s original score composed by the director’s regular musical collaborator George Fenton (Gandhi, The Fisher King, Groundhog Day). Also included are two songs featured in the film by by The Proclaimers and Deadmau5. The soundtrack is now available to order overseas on the label’s website and in the US on Screen Archives, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Angel’s Share stars Paul Brannigan, John Henshaw, Gary Maitland and William Ruane. The movie premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and has been picked up by IFC Films for domestic distribution. The film will be released in select theaters on VOD on April 12, 2013. john-ottmanJohn Ottman has officially signed on to score the upcoming superhero film sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past. The film reunites the composer with Bryan Singer who is directing his third entry in the franchise. The movie acts as a sequel to both 2011’s X-Men: First Class (scored by Henry Jackman) and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand (scored by John Powell) and stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore from the original trilogy, as well as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult from the last part in the series. They are joined by new cast members Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart and Fan Bingbing, Singer is also writing the story and Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman are penning the script. hannibalPremiering on Thursday, April 4 is the new NBC drama Hannibal based on the characters from Thomas Harris’ classic novels and developed by Bryan Fuller. The show’s cast includes Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter, as well as Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas, Eddie Izzard, Gina Torres, Molly Shannon, Gillian Anderson, Ellen Greene and Chelan Simmons. Brian Reitzell (Lost in Translation, Stranger Than Fiction, Boss) has composed the series’ original score. The film is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, Jeffrey Tambor, Justin Bartha, John Goodman, Sasha Barrese, Gillian Vigman and Jamie Chung. Phillips has also written the script with Craig Mazin (Identity Thief) and is producing the third and final part in the Hangover trilogy with Dan Goldberg. Beck has previously collaborated with Phillips on the first two The Hangover movies, as well as on the features School for Scoundrels and Due Date. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Brian Tyler (Eagle EyeFast Five, The Expendables).  The soundtrack will be released on April 30, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
