Rolfe Kent has recently scored the upcoming crime comedy Dom Hemingway. The film is written and directed by Richard Shepard and stars Jude Law, Richard E. Grant, Demian Bichir, Emilia Clarke, Kerry Condon, Jumayn Hunter and Madalina Ghenea. The movie follows a notorious safecracker who is looking for payback from a crime boss. Jeremy Thomas (The Last Emperor, A Dangerous Method, The Dreamers) is producing the project for Recorded Picture Company, alongside BBC Films, CinemaNX/Isle of Man Film, Pinewood Films and Lionsgate. Premiering tomorrow, June 3, on ABC is the new drama Mistresses starring Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes, Jes Macallan, Brett Tucker, Jason George and Erik Stocklin. The series about the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends is based on the UK series of the same title and is executive produced by Rina Mimoun (Privileged), K.J. Steinberg (Gossip Girl), Robert Sertner (Revenge) and Douglas Rae (Wuthering Heights). The show’s original score is composed by Danny Lux (Grey’s Anatomy, Ally McBeal, Boston Legal). Rob Simonsen (500 Days of Summer, The Way, Way Back) also contributed music for the pilot episode. Mistresses will air every Monday night on ABC. ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 3 Soundtrack Details

WaterTower Music will release the third soundtrack album for the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. The album features selections from the score of the show’s third season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Person of Interest). Also featured is Kerry Ingram’s It’s Always Summer Under the Sea and The Hold Steady’s The Bear and the Maiden Fair. Marcelo Zarvos has composed the score for the upcoming comedy The Hot Flashes. The film is directed by Susan Seidelman (Desperately Seeking Susan, She-Devil) and stars Brooke Shields, Wanda Sykes, Virginia Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Camryn Manheim, Mark Povinelli and Eric Roberts. The movie follows an unlikely group of middle-aged women who challenge the high school girls’ state basketball champs to raise money for a mobile breast cancer screening unit. Brad Henning wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Nina Henderson Moore (Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day) and Seidelman. Hans Zimmer to Score Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’

Hans Zimmer has confirmed in a recent interview with Collider that he has started work on Christopher Nolan’s upcoming sci-fi film Interstellar. The movie is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight, Person of Interest) and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine. No specific plot details have been revealed yet, but the movie is supposed to “depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding”. Nolan is producing the Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures production with Emma Thomas and Lynda Obst (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Siege). Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi adventure After Earth directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Will Smith and Jaden Smith. The film’s music is composed by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village) who regularly works with the director. Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score digitally earlier this week. The CD version is currently set to be released on June 11. Also opening wide is the heist thriller Now You See Me directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Isla Fisher, Melanie Laurent, Woody Harrelson, Michael Kelly, Dave Franco and Common. Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast Five, The Expendables) composed the film’s original score. Glassnote Records has released a soundtrack album featuring selections from Tyler’s score, as well as Two Door Cinema Club’s Sun, Phoenix’s Entertainment and a remix of Tyler’s score by Robert DeLong. ‘Byzantium’ Soundtrack Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the supernatural drama Byzantium. The album features the film’s score written by Academy Award-nominated composer Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans). The soundtrack will be released on CD in the UK on July 8, 2013. No word yet on a domestic release date. Byzantium is directed by Neil Jordan and stars Saoirse Ronan, Gemma Arterton, Sam Riley, Jonny Lee Miller and Caleb Landry Jones. The movie follows two female vampires who wreak havoc on an unsuspecting English seaside community. The film premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and is being released in the UK this weekend. Aaron Zigman is reteaming with director Nick Cassavates on the upcoming romantic comedy The Other Woman. The film stars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Nikolaj Coster Waldau, Kate Upton, Taylor Kinney and Nicki Minaj. The movie follows a woman who finds out that she is not her boyfriend’s primary lover and plots with the man’s wife for revenge. Melissa Stack wrote the screenplay and Julie Yorn (We Bought a Zoo, Unstoppable, Bride Wars) is producing the project through LBI Productions. Zigman has previously collaborated with Cassavetes on all of the director’s features since 2002’s John Q, including The Notebook, Alpha Dog, My Sister’s Keeper and Yellow. ‘Only God Forgives’ Soundtrack to Be Released on Vinyl

Milan Records has revealed the cover art of the Vinyl version of the soundtrack for Nicolas Winding-Refn’s thriller Only God Forgives. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Cliff Martinez (Traffic, Drive, Contagion), as well as the song You Are My Dream by the Thai band PROUD. The 180g LP is limited to 4000 copies and also includes a download card. The soundtrack will be released on July 16, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) has published the acceptance speech of Cliff Martinez, the honoree of the Richard Kirk Award at this year’s BMI Film & TV Awards. The composer of such movies as Traffic, Solaris, Drive, The Lincoln Lawyer, Arbitrage and Sex, Lies & Videotapes received the award on May 15 at the awards ceremony at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
