Varese Sarabande Records has released a soundtrack album for the action thriller Erased. The album features the film’s original score composed by Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Silent Hill, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus). The soundtrack is being released digitally today, October 8 and is now available to download on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Pale Blue Records has previously released the composer’s score overseas, where the film opened under the title The Expatriate. Erased is directed by Phillip Stolzl and stars Aaron Eckhart, Olga Kurylenko, Liana Liberato. The movie about an ex-CIA agent who discovers that he and his daughter have been marked for termination as part of an international conspiracy was released in select theaters this past May by the Weinstein Company’s Radius label and is now available on Blu-ray and DVD. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the post-apocalyptic action comedy Bounty Killer. The album features the film’s original score composed by Greg Edmonson (Firefly, Uncharted video game series). Also included are two songs by Clarence Murray and Loren Gold & James Renal. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 15, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. Cliff Martinez to Score Steven Soderbergh’s Cinemax Series ‘The Knick’

Cliff Martinez revealed in a recent interview with Lost in the Multiplex that he will be scoring Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming Cinemax original series The Knick. The show starring Clive Owen, Andre Holland, Juliet Rylance, Eve Hewson, Collin Meath and Michael Angarano is set in downtown New York in 1900 and follows the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff at the Knickerbocker Hospital who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics. Soderbergh will direct all ten episodes of the series. Jack Amiel & Michael Begler (Big Miracle, The Prince and Me, Raising Helen) have written the scripts and are also executive producing the drama with Soderbergh, Owen and Michael Sugar (The Fifth Estate, Big Miracle) and Gregory Jacobs (Magic Mike, Side Effects). ‘One Chance’ Soundtrack Details

Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy drama biopic One Chance. The album includes numerous arias from the film performed by opera star Paul Potts. Also featured is Taylor Swift’s song Sweeter Than Fiction. The soundtrack will be released in the UK on October 21, 2013. No word yet on a domestic release date. One Chance is directed by David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada) and stars James Corden, Julie Walters, Mackenzie Crook, Colm Meaney, Jemima Rooper and Alexandra Roach. The movie tells the true story of Paul Potts, a shy, bullied shop assistant by day and an amateur opera singer by night who became an instant YouTube phenomenon after being chosen by Simon Cowell for Britain’s Got Talent. The film premiered at last month’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. cities on December 27, 2013 by the Weinstein Company before expanding in early 2014. MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the British thriller Last Passenger. The album features the film’s original score composed by Liam Bates. Last Passenger is directed by Omid Nooshin and stars Dougray Scott, Kara Tointon, Lindsay Duncan, Iddo Goldberg and David Schofield. The movie follows a small group of everyday passengers on a speeding London commuter train who battle a sociopathic driver who has a dark plan for everyone on-board. The thriller will be released in the UK on October 18. Cohen Media Group has picked up domestic distribution rights for the film, but no release date has been announced yet. Wendy & Lisa Scoring Lifetime’s ‘Witches of East End’

Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman are scoring the new Lifetime original series Witches of East End. The show is created by Maggie Friedman (Eastwick) and stars Julia Ormond, Mädchen Amick, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Rachel Boston in the titles roles. Also set to star are Eric Winter, Daniel DiTomasso, Jason George and Virginia Madsen. The drama is inspired by the New York Times best-selling novel of the same titles by Melissa de la Cruz about a family of witches living in the secluded seaside town of East Haven. Friedman is executive producing the Fox 21 production with Jonathan Kaplan (Without a Trace, ER), Erwin Stoff (The Matrix) and Josh Reims (Brothers & Sisters). Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Guaranteed to top the weekend box office is the space drama Gravity directed by Alfonso Cuaron and starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The film’s original score is composed by Steven Price (The World’s End, Attack the Block). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Christophe Beck (The Hangover trilogy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has composed the film’s original score. Kevin Haskins is composing the score for the upcoming crime drama Electric Slide. The film is written and directed by Tristan Patterson and stars Jim Sturgess, Isabel Lucas, Patricia Arquette, Chloë Sevigny, and Christopher Lambert. The movie is based on a true story set in the 1980s and follows the owner of a posh Los Angeles furniture store who robbed a bank to impress his new girlfriend and became a serial robber known as “The Gentleman Bandit”. Hans C. Ritter (Sound of My Voice), Christine Vachon (Boys Don’t Cry, Far from Heaven, Kill Your Darlings) & Kirk D’Amico (Eulogy) are producing the Myriad Pictures production. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers series, G.I. Joe) is among the executive producers of the project.
