SRAB Films has released a soundtrack album for the French crime dramedy The French Job (Les règles de l’art). The album features the film’s original music composed by Lionel Limiñana (Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan, Lucky Winners) and David Menke (The Last Days of American Crime, Belle and Sebastian: Next Generation, Sam – A Saxon, Skylines). The French Job is directed by Dominique Baumard and stars Melvil Poupaud, Sofiane Zermani, Steve Tientcheu and Julia Piaton. The movie is inspired by the true story of the biggest art theft in French history, committed by Vjeran Tomic, when on the night of May 19, 2010, five priceless paintings were stolen from the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris.

The album features the film’s original music composed by David Menke (Stung, The Last Days of American Crime, Skylines, Above the Sky). Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British mini-series Quiz directed by Stephen Frears, written by James Graham and stars Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Sheen, Sian Clifford, Mark Bonnar, Helen McCrory, Michael Jibson and Aisling Bea. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Years and Years). Premiering on Friday, June 5, is the Apple TV+ docu-series Dear… executive produced by R.J. Cutler, Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson, Jane Cha and Lyle Gamm. Craig Richey (Friends with Money, Lovely & Amazing, The September Issue, Girl on a Bicycle) is composing the show’s original music. The series, which takes an inventive approach to biographies of the most iconic figures in society today by using letters written by those whose lives have been changed through their work and profiles internationally recognized leaders including Oprah Winfrey, Gloria Steinem, Spike Lee, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stevie Wonder & others will be available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+.
David Menke & The Limiñanas Scoring Olivier Megaton’s ‘The Last Days of American Crime’
David Menke (Skylines) and the French rock band The Limiñanas have composed the original music for the new Netflix original film The Last Days of American Crime. The film is directed by Olivier Megaton (Taken 2 & 3, Colombiana, Transporter 3) and stars Edgar Ramírez, Michael Pitt, Anna Brewster and Sharlto Copley. The thriller is based on the Radical Publishing graphic novel by of the same title by Rick Remender & Greg Tocchini and centers on a bank robber who joins a plot to commit one final, historic heist before the government turns on a mind-altering signal that will end all criminal behavior. Karl Gajdusek (Oblivion, The November Man) wrote the screenplay.
‘Stung’ Soundtrack Released
Westpack Musikverlag has released a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Stung. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Menke & Antonio Gambale. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Stung is directed by Benni Diez and stars Matt O’Leary, Jessica Cook, Clifton Collins Jr and Lance Henriksen. The movie takes place during a garden party in a remote country villa that is attacked by giant killer wasps.
