Metropolis Movie Music will release a soundtrack album for the action thriller Escape Plan. The album features the film’s original score composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, The Rite, State of Play), as well as two remixes, including a track by Brazilian electronic music producer Amon Tobin. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 15, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Escape Plan is directed by Mikael Hafstrom and stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Caviezel, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Sam Neill, Vinnie Jones, Faran Tahir, Vincent D’Onofrio and Amy Ryan. The movie follows an expert on structural security who is put to the test when he is framed and put in a high-security prison of his own design and must find the person who put him there. Guillaume Roussel has recently composed the music for the upcoming action thriller Three Days to Kill. The film is directed by McG and stars Kevin Costner, Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld and Connie Nielsen. The movie follows a Secret Service Agent who discovers he’s dying and is being offered access to an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for one last assignment. Luc Besson (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element) has co-written the screenplay with Adi Hasak (From Paris With Love). Besson is also producing the project with Virginie Besson-Silla (The Family, The Lady) for EuropaCorp, alongside Hasak and Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter, Limitless). McG has previously collaborated with such composers as Danny Elfman (Terminator Salvation), Christophe Beck (We Are Marshall, This Means War) and Edward Shearmur (Charlie’s Angels). Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for the action western Dead in Tombstone. The album features the film’s original score composed by the UK-based electronic music group Hybrid comprising of Michael Truman, Chris Healings and Charlotte James. They have previously collaborated with Harry Gregson-Williams on a number of film scores, including Unstoppable, Total Recall and Prince of Persia. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 15, 2013. Dead in Tombstone is directed by Roel Reine and stars Danny Trejo, Anthony Michael Hall, Mickey Rourke, Dina Meyer and Richard Dillane. The movie follows a leader of a gang of outlaws who gets killed by his own gang members and makes a deal with the devil to come back from the dead to seek revenge. Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming comedy This Is Where I Leave You. The film is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Rose Byrne, Jane Fonda, Kathryn Hahn, Timothy Olyphant, Ben Schwartz, Corey Stoll, Dax Shepard, Connie Britton and Abigail Spencer. The movie is based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee) and follows a dysfunctional and idiosyncratic family in which the father’s death forces four grown siblings to spend a week together under the same roof for the first time in a decade. Tropper also has written the screenplay and Levy is producing the project with Paula Weinstein (The Perfect Storm, Analyze This, Blood Diamond). Most of Levy’s previous features, including Cheaper by the Dozen, Date Night and The Pink Panther featured music by composer Christophe Beck. La La-Land Records has released new soundtrack edition for the 1994 family drama Black Beauty directed by Caroline Thompson and starring Sean Bean and David Thewlis. The album features the expanded original score from the Warner Bros. Pictures production composed by Danny Elfman, including numerous previously unreleased cues from the score.
