Glassnote Records has released a soundtrack album for the indie drama The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. The album features the original music from and inspired by the film composed by Son Lux, including the original song No Fate Awaits Me. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is written and directed by Ned Benson and stars Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Viola Davis, Ryan Eggold, Bill Hader, Isabelle Huppert and William Hurt. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy sequel Horrible Bosses 2. The album features the songs from the film by artists including The Clash, Katy Perry, Pitbull, The Heavy, Timbaland, NWA, Toto and more. Also included are three tracks from the movie’s original score composed by Christopher Lennertz (Identity Thief, Revolution, Ride Along) who previously scored the first part of the series. Jason Moran Scoring Ava DuVernay’s ‘Selma’

Jason Moran is currently recording his orchestral score for the upcoming biographical drama Selma in Seattle. The project marks the first scoring assignment of the jazz pianist who is also the artistic director for music at the Kennedy Center. Selma is directed by Ava DuVernay and stars David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King Jr., Carmen Ejogo as Coretta Scott King and Tom Wilkinson as Lyndon Baines Johnson. Andre Holland, Tessa Thompson, Omar J. Dorsey and Colman Domingo are co-starring. The movie tells the story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s struggle to secure voting rights for all people that culminated with a march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, and led to President Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Peter Nashel and Eric V. Hachikian are composing the score for the upcoming Netflix original series Marco Polo. The show is created by John Fusco (Forbidden Kingdom, Hidalgo) and stars Lorenzo Richelmy, Zhu Zhu, Joan Chen, Benedict Wong, Remy Hii, Olivia Cheng, Claudia Kim, Uli Latukefu, Chin Han and Tom Wu. The drama is based on the famed explorer’s adventures in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th century China. Fusco is also executive producing the project with Harvey Weinstein and Dan Minahan (Game of Thrones, True Blood). Howard Shore to Score Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’

Howard Shore confirmed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he will be reuniting with director Martin Scorsese on the upcoming historical drama Silence. The film stars Andrew Garfield as a 17th-century Portuguese Jesuit who travels to Japan with a fellow priest, played by Liam Neeson, amid rumors that his mentor has abandoned the Church, to find out that the local Christian population has been driven underground by religious persecution. Ken Watanabe and Adam Driver are co-starring. Jay Cooks (Gangs of New York, Age of Innocence) has written the screenplay based on the novel by Shûsaku Endô. Irwin Winkler (Goodfellas, Rocky, Raging Bull) is producing the project with Randall Emmett & George Furla (End of Watch, Lone Survivor, 2 Guns) and Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street). The details have been revealed of the score album for The Hunger Games: Mockinjay – Part 1.
