Big Machine Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama Nashville. The album features songs from the first part of the show’s fourth season performed by actors Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Aubrey Peeples, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Will Chase, Chris Carmack, Riley Smith, Lennon & Maisy Stella, Chaley Rose, as well as guest star Steven Tyler and a track by Mark Collie.The Season 4 – Volume 1 soundtrack will be released on December 4, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bear McCreary has signed on to score the upcoming horror thriller The Boy. The film is directed by William Brent Bell (The Devil Inside, Stay Alive) and stars Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans. The movie follows a young American woman who takes a job as a nanny in a remote English village, only to discover that the family’s 8-year-old is a life-sized doll that the parents care for just like a real boy, as a way to cope with the death of their actual son 20 years prior. Stacey Menear has written the screenplay. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1978 thriller sequel Jaws 2 directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Roy Scheider. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, E.T.) who previously scored Steven Spielberg’s original 1975 film in the series. The 2-CD set features the composer’s complete score, as well as alternate cues on one disc and the content of the original 1978 soundtrack album on the second disc. Hans Zimmer European Live Tour Announced

Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has announced his first live tour. The concerts will feature a 20-piece studio band, alongside singer Lebo M (The Lion King, The Power of One), as well as an orchestra and choir. The tour will kick off in London on April 6, 2016 and will be taking in 18 cities, including Birmingham, Brussels, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, Munich, Krakow, Bratislava, Prague, Zurich, Budapest, Vienna and Sofia in total for the following six weeks. Michael Giacchino is currently composing the music for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Zootopia. The film is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) & Rich Moore (Wreck-It-Ralph) and features the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Jenny Slate and Tommy Chong. The movie is set in a civilization led by animals devoid of human interference, complete with habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the drama Burnt directed by John Wells and starring Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Uma Thurman, Emma Thompson, Alicia Vikander and Lily James. The film’s original music is composed by Rob Simonsen ((500) Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, The Age of Adaline, Foxcatcher). No soundtrack album has been announced. The movie follows a chef in Paris who is trying to obtain the Michelin three-star rating. The drama is being released by the Weinstein Company. Visit the official movie website for more information.
Also opening wide is the political comedy drama Our Brand Is Crisis directed by David Gordon Green and starring Sandra Bullock, Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie, Joaquim de Almeida, Ann Dowd, Scoot McNairy and Zoe Kazan.
