Mark Mothersbaugh is scoring the upcoming Netflix original movie Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. The film is directed by John Lee (Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer) and stars Paul Reubens in the title role as Pee-wee Herman, alongside Tara Buck, Joe Manganiello, Jessica Pohl, Stephanie Beatriz and Alia Shawkat. The comedy revolves around a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger who inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday. Reubens has written the screenplay with Paul Rust (Arrested Development) and is also producing the project with Judd Apatow (Trainwreck, Knocked Up, The 40-Year Old Virgin, Funny People). Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series. Among the titles is a 25th anniversary deluxe soundtrack edition for the 1990 sci-fi adventure Back to the Future Part III directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox & Christopher Lloyd. The 2-CD set features the film’s original music composed by Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Cast Away, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Croods), including the complete score on one disc, and alternate cues and source tracks on the second disc. A soundtrack album will be released for the Netflix original movie Beasts of No Nation. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Digging for Fire). The soundtrack will be released this Friday, October 16, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Beasts of No Nation is directed by Cary Fukunaga and stars Idris Elba, Ama K. The movie based on the novel by Nigerian author Uzodinma Iweala follows a young African boy is forced to become a child soldier in a rebel army led by a brutal commandant. The Chinese production is set in 2020 and follows a group of passengers stranded on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean after their luxury airliner makes an emergency landing who soon learn the island has been overrun with strange mutated creatures.
