Decca Records will release a new soundtrack album for the drama The Braid (La tresse). The album features the film’s original music composed by Ludovico Einaudi (The IntouchablesThe FatherSamba, This Is England). The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 26, 2024 and is now available for pre-order on Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out the track list. A first track (Son combat) is already available to stream/download now and can also be checked out after the jump. Hollywood Records has released a CD version of the original soundtrack album for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet and Stephen Lang. The limited edition album featuring the film’s original music composed by Simon Franglen (The Magnificent SevenPandora: The World of AvatarNotre-Dame on Fire), as well as the original songs Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength) performed by The Weeknd and The Songcord performed by Saldaña, is now available to order on Amazon, Disney Music Emporium’s website and select other physical media retailers. The label has previously released a digital version featuring the same content the week of the movie’s theatrical release last December and an expanded digital edition featuring additional score tracks the following week. Antonio Di Iorio has joined Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) to score the upcoming monster movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film is directed by Adam Wingard (The Guest, Death Note) who previously helmed the 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong (scored by Holkenborg) and stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, Kaylee Hottle and Fala Chen. Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean series), Simon Barrett (You’re Next) & Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight) wrote the screenplay based on a story by Rossio, Wingard & Barrett. Premiering on Thursday, December 7, is the British limited series Archie written by Jeff Pope and stars Jason Isaacs, Harriet Walter, Dainton Anderson, Laura Aikman, Kara Tointon, Oaklee Pendergast and Calam Lynch. The show’s original music is composed by Lindsay Wright (Without Sin, This Is Joan CollinsThe Mystery of D.B Cooper, The Whistleblowers). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Also premiering in the U.S. on Thursday is the British series The Lovers created by David Ireland, directed by Justin Martin and starring Rosin Gallagher, Johnny Flynn, Conleth Hill and Alice Eve. Lindsay Wright & Tawiah (Without Sin, Black Ops) and have composed the show’s original music. The 6-part romantic comedy, which centers on the relationship between a bad-tempered Belfast supermarket worker and a self-centered, political broadcaster with what looks to be a perfect London life and a celebrity girlfriend, premiered in the UK on Sky Atlantic and will make its domestic debut on Sundance Now and AMC+. SIREN Publishing has released a soundtrack album for the British horror thriller Raging Grace. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Clarke (Kissing Candice, The River Runner). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Raging Grace is co-written and directed by Paris Zarcilla and stars Max Eigenmann Jaeden Boadilla, Leanne Best and David Hayman. The movie follows an undocumented Filipina immigrant who lands a job as a caretaker for a terminal old man, but a dark discovery threatens to destroy everything she’s strived for. Hollywood Records has released the cover version of the holiday classic We Wish You a Merry Christmas from the second season of the Disney+ original series The Santa Clauses. The track is produced by the show’s composer Ariel Rechtshaid and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the action thriller Silent Night directed by John Woo and starring Joel Kinnaman, Scott Mescudi, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Harold Torres. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma,  Logan, A Quiet PlaceScream, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. FerrariThe Wolverine). La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score later this month. Also opening wide is the Japanese Japanese monster movie Godzilla Minus One written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki and starring Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Sakura Ando, Kuranosuke Sasaki and Hidetaka Yoshioka.  Naoki Sato (Rurouni Kenshin, Pretty CureDragon Ball Super: Super Hero Masquerade Night) has composed the film’s original music. Matthew Margeson (Kingsman, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Rocketman, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, Eddie the EaglePam & Tommy) has been tapped to score RoboForce: The Animated Series. The show inspired by the action figures is set in 2089 and follows Maxx 89 and the rest of RoboForce trying to save the day when a rogue code infected the Utopia Aegis 101’s to turn on humanity. Brian Volk-Weiss (Behind the Attraction) is directing and is also executive producing the project with Nacelle’s Cisco Henson, Matt Kravitsky, Michael Goodman, Tom Stern & Gavin Hignight, as well as Seven Bucks Productions’ Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Rampage) & Hiram Garcia (Black Adam, Jungle Cruise) and Brian Gewirtz (Young Rock). Studio Ghibli has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the animated feature The Boy and the Heron. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away, My Neighbor TotoroPrincess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle, Departures). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. A CD/vinyl edition has previously been released in Japan this past summer. Available separately as a digital single is Kenshi Yonezu’s theme song Spinning Globe. The Boy and the Heron is written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and tells the story of a young boy yearning for his mother who ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead. Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1998 comedy drama Pleasantville written and directed by Gary Ross and starring Tobey Maguire, Reese Witherspoon, Joan Allen, Jeff Daniels, William H. Macy, J. T. Walsh and Don Knotts. The album features the expanded Academy Award-nominated original score from the composed by Randy Newman (Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Marriage Story, Avalon, A Bug’s Life, Cars), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The Deluxe Edition is now available to order on Amazon and the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and learn more about the release.
