Duncan Sheik has composed the score for the upcoming Go90 short-form musical series Pulse. The show created by Kyle Jarrow will be directed by Anna Mastro (Walter) and stars Katie Findlay, Craig Stickland, Calum Worthy, Melissa O’Neil, Alexandre Landry, Meg DeAngelis and Harley Morenstein. The 12-parter follows a group of American expatriates living in Berlin who find themselves immersed in the city’s vibrant, kinetic dance scene. BBC Earth has announced that Hans Zimmer is composing the music for the upcoming docu-series Planet Earth II. He is composing the show’s theme and main titles. Jasha Klebe who previously scored last year’s Oscar-nominated documentary Winter on Fire and Jacob Shea who is known for his music for the Morgan Freeman-hosted series Through the Wormhole are also involved in scoring the show courtesy of the music production house Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop (Saints & Strangers, Sons of Liberty). The series is narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton (Hidden Kingdoms, Life, Africa) and produced by Tom Hugh-Jones (Planet Life). The album features selections of the original score from the show’s sixth season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Clash of the Titans, Warcraft). Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Pelé: Birth of a Legend. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Couples Retreat, A Hundred-Foot Journey, Million Dollar Arm). The soundtrack will be released on June 24, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Pele: Birth of a Legend is written and directed by Jeff and Michael Zimbalist and stars Kevin de Paula, Vincent D’Onofrio, Rodrigo Santoro, Diego Boneta and Colm Meaney.
