Chris Bacon has revealed in a recent interview with TV Goodness that he is currently scoring the upcoming ABC mini-series When We Rise. The show is created by Dustin Lance Black (Milk, J. Edgar) and stars Guy Pearce, Mary Louise Parker, Rosie O’Donnell, Michael K. Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Rachel Griffiths, Dylan Walsh, Kevin McHale and Ivory Aquino. The period drama tells the history of the gay rights movement, starting with the Stonewall Riots in 1969. Black is also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Larry Mark (Jerry Maguire, I, Robot) and Bruce Cohen (American Beauty, Silver Linings Playbook, Big Fish). Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) is directing the first two episodes and Black, Dee Rees (Bessie, Pariah) and Thomas Schlamme (The West Wing) are directing the other episodes of the 8-part series. Black Butter will release a soundtrack album for Noel Clarke’s drama Brotherhood. The album features the songs form the movie by Fekky feat. Giggs, Chloe Leone, Jamie Joseph, Grace Acladna, J Hus, Whinnie Williams, Mahalia, Asher D, Chip x Maniac & more. The soundtrack will be released in the UK on August 26, 2016 and is now available for pre-order as an import on Amazon. Brotherhood is written and directed by Clarke who also stars in the film alongside Jason Maza, Stormzy, Red Madrell, Shanika Warren-Markland and Arnold Oceng.
