Craig Armstrong is composing the original score for the upcoming comedy sequel Bridget Jones’s Baby. The film is directed by Sharon Maguire who previously directed the 2001 original film and stars Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Patrick Dempsey, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones and Emma Thompson. The movie follows the title character as she finds herself pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is. Helen Fielding has co-written the screenplay with Thompson and Dan Mazer (Ali G Indahouse, I Give It a Year). Needlewood Records will release a soundtrack album for the German documentary Deutschland. Made in Germany (Deutschland. Dein Selbstporträt). The album features the film’s original music composed by Hauschka (Volker Bertelmann) (Lion, The Boy, In Dubious Battle), as well as the original song Another Day in Life by Hauschka & Graham Candy. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 15, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Deutschland. Made in Germany is directed by Sönke Wortmann (The Miracle of Bern, Pope Joan) who invited the people of Germany to film themselves on June 20 of last year, for anything ranging from just a few seconds to the entire day. The line-up for several film music-related panels at Comic-Con 2016 has been announced. On Thursday, July 21, a number of film composers will participate in The 4th Annual Musical Anatomy of a Superhero. Henry Jackman (Captain America: Civil War & The Winter Soldier, X-Men: First Class), Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), John Ottman (X2, X-Men: Days of Future Past & Apocalypse) and Blake Neely (The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow) will be participating in a discussion moderated by composer George S. La-La Land Records has announced the details of the first soundtrack album for the superhero series Supergirl. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Blindspot, The Pacific).
