Trevor Morris has been tapped to score the upcoming NBC drama Taken. The show stars Clive Standen, Jennifer Beals, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Gaius Charles, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert and Jose Pablo Cantillo. The series based on the hit movie franchise starring Liam Neeson tells the origin story of younger, hungrier, former Green Beret Bryan Mills as he deals with a personal tragedy and is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative. Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element, Lucy) is executive producing the EuropaCorp TV and Universal Television production with Alexander Cary (Homeland, Lie to Me), Matthew Gross (Across the Universe, Body of Proof), Edouard de Vésinne, Thomas Anargyros and Alex Graves (Game of Thrones, The West Wing) who directed the pilot episode. Tom Tykwer and Johnny Klimek are composing the original music for the upcoming German television series Babylon Berlin. The show is directed by Tykwer and stars Volker Bruch, Liv Lisa Fries, Matthias Brandt, Hannah Herzsprung, Karl Markovics, Lars Eidinger and Sebastian Urzen. The drama is based on Volker Kutscher’s book Der nasse Fisch and follows young police inspector Gereon Rath in 1929 Berlin, a hotbed of politics, art, extremism, drugs and murder. Mercury Records will release the official soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Bridget Jones’s Baby. The album features the songs from the film, including the original songs Still Falling for You by Ellie Goulding and Meteorite by Years & Years, as well as tracks by Ed Sheeran, Lily Allen, Annie Lennox, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick & more. Also included are two cues from the movie’s original score composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Me Before You, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet).
