The military drama follows the Navy SEAL Team Six, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists. The Newton Brothers are reteaming with director Mike Flanagan on the upcoming thriller Gerald’s Game. The film starring Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, Henry Thomas, Carel Struycken, Kate Siegel and Chiara Aurelia is based on Stephen King’s 1992 novel of the same title and . Flanagan also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Howard. Trevor Macy (The Raven, The Cold Light of Day) is producing the project for Intreped Pictures. The Newton Brothers have previously collaborated with Flanagan on his previous four features, including Oculus, Before I Wake, Hush and Ouija: Origin of Evil and also scored Intrepid’s upcoming thriller The Bye Bye Man.
