The Grammy Award-winning R&B group Boyz II Men has recorded an original song for the Amazon holiday special The Snowy Day. The track has been released as digital single and is available to download on Amazon. The Snowy Day based on the best-selling children’s book by Ezra Jack Keats is directed by Jamie Badminton & Rufus Blacklock and features the voices of Donielle Hansley, Laurence Fishburne (who is also producing the project), Regina King and Angela Bassett. Jeff Russo has been tapped to score the upcoming drama The Three Christs of Ypsilanti. The film is directed by Jon Avnet (Fried Green Tomatoes, Up Close & Personal, The War) and stars Richard Gere, Walton Goggins, Peter Dinklage, Julianna Margulies and Bradley Whitford. The movie revolves around a doctor who is treating three paranoid schizophrenic patients at the Ypsilanti State Hospital in Michigan, each of whom believe they are Jesus Christ. Avnet also co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Nazarian based on the biographical novel by Milton Rokeach. The director is also producing the project for his Brooklyn Films company, alongside Aaron Stern, Molly Hassell (Edmond, Jackie & Ryan), Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier. Benjamin Wallfisch is reteaming with director David F. Sandberg on the upcoming supernatural thriller Annabelle 2. The film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto. The movie follows a dollmaker and his wife who welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle. Paramount Pictures has revealed the music credits for Martin Scorsese’s historical drama Silence today. Kim Allen Kluge and Kathryne Kluge have composed the film’s original score. Robbie Robertson serves as the movie’s executive music producer. He previously had the same role on several of the director’s features, including The Wolf of Wall Street, Gangs of New York and King of Comedy. Music supervisors are Randall Poster (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Hangover) who previously worked on Scorsese’s The Aviator, Hugo, The Wolf of Wall Street and Boardwalk Empire and John Schaefer. Silence starring Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, Tadanobu Asano, Ciarán Hinds and Liam Neeson is set in the 17th century and centers on two Jesuit priests who face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and propagate Christianity.
