Five new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the thriller Unforgettable directed by Denise Di Novi and starring Katherine Heigl, Rosario Dawson, Geoff Stults, Cheryl Ladd, Whitney Cummings and Isabella Rice. The film’s original music is composed by Toby Chu (Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, State of Affairs, Beyond). No soundtrack album has been announced. Also opening wide is the historical drama The Promise directed by Terry George and starring Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale, Charlotte Le Bon, Angela Sarafyan, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Daniel Gimenez Cacho, James Cromwell and Jean Reno. Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, 1408) has composed the film’s original score. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as an original song by Chris Cornell.
