The track will be released as a digital single on May 5, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. 3 Generations is co-written and directed by Gaby Dellal and stars Elle Fanning, Naomi Watts, Susan Sarandon, Sam Trammell, Linda Emond and Tate Donovan. Jaeil Jung has recently composed the music for the upcoming monster movie Okja. The film is directed by Bong Joon Ho (Snowpiercer, The Host, Mother) and stars Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Seohyun An, Devon Bostick, Lily Collins, Byun Heebong, Shirley Henderson, Daniel Henshall, Yoon Je Moon, Choi Wooshik and Steven Yeun. The movie follows a young girl who must risk everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named ‘Okja’. The show’s original music is composed by Brian Reitzell (Hannibal, Friday Night Lights, 30 Days of Night). Also premiering tonight is the National Geographic documentary LA 92 directed by Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin about the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Jimmy LaValle (aka The Album Leaf) has been hired to score the upcoming CW drama Valor. The show is created by writer/musician Kyle Jarrow and stars Christina Ochoa, Matt Barr, Charlie Barnett, W. Tré Davis, Nigel Thatch, Corbin Reid and Melissa Roxburgh. The series follows two chopper pilots who, after a botched mission in Somalia leaves a pair of American servicemen in enemy hands, train for a rescue operation, and only they share a very large secret from the initial operation. Jarrow is also executive producing the CBS Television production with Bill Haber (Rizzoli & Isles). Michael Robin (Nip/Tuck, The Closer, Longmire) is directing the pilot episode. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the thriller The Circle written and directed by James Ponsoldt and starring Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Patton Oswalt, Bill Paxton, Karen Gillan and Ellar Coltrane. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a cover version of Shaker’s Simple Gifts recorded for the movie by Jónsi. Also opening wide is the comedy How to Be a Latin Lover directed by Ken Marino and starring Eugenio Derbez, Salma Hayek, Rob Lowe, Kristen Bell, Raquel Welch, Michael Cera, Rob Riggle, Rob Corddry, Michaela Watkins and Rob Huebel. Craig Wedren (Role Models, School of Rock, Wet Hot American Summer) has composed the film’s original score. Jeff Russo is composing the original score for the upcoming FX original series Snowfall. The show is created by John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood, Shaft, Four Brothers) & Eric Amadio and Dave Andron (Justified) and stars Damson Idris, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Carter Hudson and Emily Rios. The drama is set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic in the early 80s in Los Angeles and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The track, which is featured in the film’s end titles, is written by the movie’s co-composer Raney Shockne (The To Do List, Queen of the South, Anger Management) and Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Melissa Reese. The song is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. The Assignment starring Michelle Rodriguez, Tony Shalhoub, Sigourney Weaver, Anthony LaPaglia and Caitlin Gerard follows an assassin, who is double crossed by gangsters and finds himself in the hands of a rogue surgeon who turns him into a woman. Virgin Records will release the official soundtrack album for the ABC original movie event Dirty Dancing. The album features the songs from the film performed by the cast, which includes Abigail Breslin, Debra Messing, Bruce Greenwood, Nicole Scherzinger, Sarah Hyland, Tony Roberts, Katey Sagal, Billy Dee Williams, Colt Prattes and J. Quinton Johnson. Also included is a new version of Be My Baby by Bea Miller, which will be available to download tomorrow, as well as new tracks by Greyson Chance, American Authors, Lady Antebellum, Seal, Karmin & more. The full soundtrack will be released on May 19, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
