Jeff Russo (Fargo, Ridley, Legion, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy, For All Mankind, The Man Who Feel to Earth) has been hired to score the upcoming Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The show stars Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, as well as Holly Hunter who plays the captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy. Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman, Gina Yashere, Paul Giamatti and Tatiana Maslany will appear as guest stars in the sci-fi drama, which follows the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 – Volume 2 Soundtrack Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Paramount Network original series Yellowstone. The album features selections of the original music from the second part of the show’s fifth and final season composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians) and Breton Vivian (1883, 1923, Five Feet Apart, Redeeming Love). The Volume 2 soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released the first volume back back in 2022, as well as three albums featuring the scores from Season 2, Season 3 & Season 4, while Sony Classical has released an album featuring Tyler’s music from Season 1. Expanded ‘Phantasm’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Waxwork Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1979 sci-fi/horror cult classic Phantasm written and directed by Don Coscarelli and starring Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury, Reggie Bannister and Kathy Lester. The album features the premiere release of the film’s complete original score composed by Fred Myrow (Soylent Green, Scarecrow, Hour of the Assassin, Survival Quest) and Malcolm Seagrave, previously unrleased cues from the score recordings sessions, as well as the newly remastered original 1979 score album. The soundtrack, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 45th anniversary, is now available as a triple LP set on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more information about the release. Caldera Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the HBO original documentary series The Jinx directed by Andrew Jarecki about real-estate scion and convicted murderer Robert Durst who managed to evade justice for over three decades. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season (released in 2015 and subtitled The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst) composed by West Dylan Thordson (Split, Glass, Foxcatcher, Unsolved Mysteries, Joy) and second season (released earlier this year under the title The Jinx: Part Two) composed by Mondo Boys (She Dies Tomorrow, Phoenix Forgotten, Fatman, The Girlfriend Experience, Silk Road).
