Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror feature Backrooms directed by Kane Parsons and starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett and Lukita Maxwell. The film’s original music is composed by Edo Van Breemen (The Monkey, Keeper, Afflicted, Air, Hollow in the Land, The Backward Class) and Parsons. A24 Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the score today. Also opening nationwide is the historical drama Pressure written and directed by Anthony Maras and starring Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Damian Lewis, Chris Messina and Kerry Condon. Volker Bertelmann (Conclave, Lion, All Quiet on the Western Front, Dune: Prophecy, The Day of the Jackal, The Amateur,Adrift, A House of Dynamite, One Life) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. ‘Pressure’ Soundtrack Album Details

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the historical drama Pressure. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Lion, Dune: Prophecy, The Amateur, The Day of the Jackal, Adrift, A House of Dynamite, One Life). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 29 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Composer Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Lion, Adrift, Dune: Prophecy, The Amateur, The Day of the Jackal, A House of Dynamite, One Life) is reuniting with director Anthony Maras on the upcoming historical drama Pressure. The film is co-written (with David Haig) and directed by Maras and stars Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis. The movie based on Haig’s play of the same titl is set during the tense 72 hours before D-Day as General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg confront an impossible choice: launch the largest and most dangerous invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.

‘Pressure’ Soundtrack Released

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the thriller Pressure. The album features the film’s original music composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (The Escapist, Desert Dancer, Dear Wendy, Summer in February). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Pressure is directed by Ron Scalpello and stars Danny Huston, Matthew Goode and Daisy Lowe. The movie follows four deep sea saturation divers who become stranded 650ft below the surface of the Indian Ocean after disaster strikes their ship.

Benjamin Wallfisch to Score ‘Crawlspace’

Benjamin Wallfisch has been tapped to score the upcoming horror thriller Crawlspace. The film is directed by Phil Claydon (Lesbian Vampire Killers) and stars Michael Vartan, Erin Moriarty, Nadine Velazquez, Blake Jenner, Ronnie Gene Blevins and Misty Upham. The movie follows a widower with a daughter who gets remarried and has the opportunity for a new start in a new house and immediately falls prey to strange occurrences. James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious, Fast & Furious 7) is producing the New Line Cinema production with Rick Alvarez (A Haunted House, White Chicks) for The Safran Company. Gary Dauberman (Annabelle) has written the screenplay.
