The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom directed by J.A. Bayona and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones and Rafe Spall. The film’s original music is composed Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Trek, The Incredibles, Ratatouille). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Click here for the full album details.

Opening in limited release is the western comedy Damsel written and directed by Nathan & David Zellner and starring Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Forster, the Zellner brothers themselves and Joseph Biligiere. The Octopus Project who have previously scored the directors’ Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter and Kid-Thing have composed the film’s original music. Dan Reynolds’ & Hans Zimmer’s ‘Skipping Stones’ from ‘Believer’ Released

Interscope Records has released the original song Skipping Stones from the documentary Believer. The track is written by Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds and Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight) who also composed the original score for the film. Believer is directed by Don Argott and follows Reynolds, frontman for the Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons, as he takes on a new mission to explore how the Mormon Church treats its LGBTQ members. Siddhartha Khosla has been hired to score the upcoming ABC comedy The Kids Are Alright. The show is created by Tim Doyle (Last Man Standing) and stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Martin Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken and Santino Barnard. The series inspired by Doyle’s childhood is set in the 1970s and follows a traditional Irish-Catholic family as they navigate big and small changes during one of America’s most turbulent decades. ‘Genius: Picasso’ Soundtrack Album Released

Milan Records has released the full soundtrack album for the National Geographic original series Genius. The album features selections of the show’s original music of the show’s second season composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Lego Batman Movie, The Crown, Pacific Rim Uprising, Terminator Genysis). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released an EP featuring music from Season 2, as well as Balfe’s score from the first season. Season 2 of Genius is executive produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer and stars Antonio Banderas, Alex Rich, Clémence Poésy, Samantha Colley, T.R. MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/Columbian sci-fi romance Orbiter 9. The album features the film’s original music composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their Eyes, Kidnap, Life Itself, Loving Pablo, Misconduct). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version is also in the works and will be released by Quartet Records. Orbiter 9 is directed by Hatem Khraiche and stars Clara Lago, Alex Gonzalez and Andrés Parra. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, Cabin Fever, Hostel, Hemlock Grove). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 22 and will be available to download on Amazon. The Domestics is written and directed by Mike P. Nelson and stars Kate Bosworth, Tyler Hoechlin and Lance Reddick. Lakeshore Records will release the first soundtrack album for the USA original series Queen of the South. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Academy Award winner Giorgio Moroder (Scarface, Flashdance, Midnight Express) & Raney Shockne (The Do To List, Kevin Can Wait, Anger Management). The soundtrack will be released on July 13, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Queen of the South is is created by M.A. Fortin & Joshua John Miller and stars Alice Braga, Peter Gadiot, Hemky Madera and Veronica Falcon. The drama centers on a woman who is forced to go on the run and seek refuge in America, where she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run. The full details of the second soundtrack album for Marvel’s Netflix original series Luke Cage have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad, as well as the songs King’s Paradise performed in an episode by Rakim and written by William Griffin, Younge & Muhammad, Love You Forever Right Now performed by Joi who also co-wrote the track with Marlon Cox and Family First co-written and performed by Gabrielle Dennis (Tilda Johnson). H. Scott Salinas Scoring Matthew Heineman’s ‘A Private War’

H. Scott Salinas is reteaming with director Matthew Heineman on the upcoming biographical drama A Private War. The film starring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, Stanley Tucci and Tom Hollander chronicles the life of the late American-born British war reporter Marie Colvin. Arash Amel (Grace of Monaco, The Titan) wrote the screenplay based on Marie Brenner’s 2012 Vanity Fair story Marie Colvin’s Private War. Heineman is also producing the project with Matthew George (Wind River) for Acacia Entertainment, alongside Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Sicario) for Thunder Road Pictures, Marissa McMahon for Kamala Films and Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde) for Denver & Delilah. The full details of the soundtrack album for the action thriller Skyscraper have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Steve Jablonsky (Transformers series, The Island, Ender’s Game, Pain & Gain, Desperate Housewives). Also included is the new song Walls by Jamie N Commons.
