Howlin’ Wolf Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2010 family comedy drama Christmas with a Capital C. The album features the film’s original music composed by Edwin Wendler (UnnaturalI Spit on Your Grave: Vengeance is Mine, Dead Ant) and performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and the Illumni Men’s Chorale. The film is directed by Jake Scott (Welcome to the Rileys, Plunkett & Macleane) and stars Sienna Miller, Christina Hendricks, Aaron Paul, Will Sasso, Amy Madigan, Pat Healy, Ken Marino, Sky Ferreira, and Macon Blair. The movie tells the story of a woman whose life is changed when her teenage daughter mysteriously disappears and she is left to raise her young grandson. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Fatih Akin’s drama In the Fade. The album features the film’s original music composed by Queens of the Stone Age member Joshua Homme. Also included are songs by Faith No More, Lykke Li, Queens of the Stone Age, Courtney Bartnett & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally overseas tomorrow, November 24. A physical version is set to come out next month. In the Fade is written and directed by Akin and stars Diane Kruger, Denis Moschitto, Numan Acar and Johannes Krisch. Roger Neill is scoring the upcoming family drama A Kid Like Jake. The film is directed by Silas Howard and stars Jim Parsons, Claire Danes, Ocatavia Spencer, Ann Dowd, Michaela Watkins and Priyanka Chopra. The movie follows a Brooklyn couple trying to raise their 4-year-old-son who prefers to dress up as a princess instead of G.I. Joe. Daniel Pearle wrote the screenplay based on his 2013 stage play. ‘Ferdinand’ Score Album Details

La-La Land Records and 5 Cats Studios will release a score album for Blue Sky Studios’s animated movie Ferdinand. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Shrek, X-Men: The Last Stand, Bolt, Ice Age: The Meltdown). Matthew Margeson is reteaming with director Jeff Wadlow on the upcoming supernatural thriller Truth or Dare. The film starring Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Nolan Gerard Funk, Hayden Szeto and Sophia Taylor Ali centers on a harmless game of “Truth or Dare” among friends that turns deadly when someone – or something – begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse the dare. Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge) is producing the project through his Blumhouse production company. The full details of the soundtrack EP for Blue Sky Studios’ animated feature Ferdinand have been revealed. The EP features the original songs Watch Me and Home (which is already available as a digital single here) by Nick Jonas, Juanes’ original track Lay Hour Head On Me, as well as Pitbull’s Freedom and Los Del Rio’s Macarena. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on December 1 by Island Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A separate soundtrack featuring John Powell’s original score from the movie will be released digitally on December 15 by Fox Music and physically on December 12 by La-La Land Records. Alexandra Harwood has been tapped to score the upcoming romantic drama The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. The film is directed by Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Donnie Brasco) and stars Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Matthew Goode, Jessica Brown Findlay, Tom Courtenay and Penelope Wilton. Ryan Bingham has recorded the original song How Shall a Sparrow Fly for Scott Cooper’s western Hostiles. The singer/songwriter, who also appears in the movie, previously co-wrote the song The Weary Kind for Cooper’s 2009 feature Crazy Heart with T Bone Burnett, for which he received an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy Award. The film is directed by Karey Kirkpatrick (Over the Hedge) and features the voices of Channing Tatum, James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry and Jimmy Tatro. The movie centers on a Yeti who is convinced that the elusive creatures known as “humans” really do exist.
