Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Murderbot. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Amanda Jones (Naomi, Mea Culpa, Super/Natural, Good Trouble, Emperor of Ocean Park, The Perfect Find, Young Love). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 16 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Amanda Jones (Naomi, Mea Culpa, Emperor of Ocean Park, Super/Natural, The Perfect Find, Young Love, Good Trouble) has recently been scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Murderbot. ‘Fatherhood’ Soundtrack Album Details
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy drama Fatherhood. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan, The Crown, Over the Hedge, Smallfoot). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, June 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Fatherhood is co-written and directed by Paul Weitz and stars Kevin Hart, Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Frankie Faison, Paul Reiser, Anthony Carrigan and Melody Hurd. The Columbia Pictures production is inspired by a true story and revolves around a widowed new dad who copes with doubts, fears, heartache and dirty diapers as he sets out to raise his daughter on his own.
Rupert Gregson-Williams Scoring Paul Weitz’s ‘Fatherhood’
Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Crown, The Legend of Tarzan) has recently been scoring the upcoming comedy drama Fatherhood. The film is directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, About a Boy) and stars Kevin Hart, Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, Anthony Carrigan, Deborah Ayorinde, Melody Hurd, Paul Reiser and DeWanda Wise. The movie is based on Matthew Logelin’s memoir Two Kisses for Maddy and centers on a dad who is forced to raise a child on his own and finds himself wholly unprepared for the challenge. Weitz also co-wrote the screenplay with Dana Stevens (City of Angels, For Love of the Game).
‘Bel Canto’ Soundtrack Details
Decca Gold will release a soundtrack album for the romantic drama Bel Canto. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Majzlin who collaborated with vocalist Renèe Fleming (The Shape of Water, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King) on his score. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and will be available to download on Amazon. Bel Canto is co-written and directed by Paul Weitz and stars Julianne Moore and Ken Watanabe. The movie is based on the novel and revolves around a famous opera singer who is held hostage in South America by a guerrilla rebel group after performing at a Japanese businessman’s lavish birthday party.

The film is written and directed by Paul Weitz (About a Boy, In Good Company, American Pie) and stars Lily Tomlin, Julia Garner, Marcia Gay Harden, Judy Greer, Laverne Cox and Sam Elliott. The movie follows a self-described misanthrope who has her protective bubble burst when her 18-year-old granddaughter shows up needing help. Weitz is also producing the project with Andrew Miano (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, A Single Man), Terry Dougas (Jane Got a Gun) and Paris Latsis.

The album features the film’s original music composed by Stephen Trask (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) who previously collaborated with the director on In Good Company, American Dreamz, Cirque du Freak and Little Fockers. Stephen Trask is reteaming with director Paul Weitz on the upcoming comedy Admission. The film starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd follows an unmarried college admissions counselor who falls for a former classmate. Michael Sheen, Lily Tomlin, Wallace Shawn, Gloria Reuben and Nat Wolff are co-starring in the Focus Features production. Karen Croner (One True Thing) has written the screenplay and Weitz is producing the project with Kerry Kohansky-Roberts (Nick and Norah’s Ultimate Playlist) and Andrew Miano (A Single Man). Trask has previously collaborated with Weitz on such films as In Good Company, American Dreamz, Cirque du Freak and Little Fockers.
Badly Drawn Boy’s ‘Being Flynn’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack release for the upcoming dramedy Being Flynn. The album features the original music from the film written by Badly Drawn Boy. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 28, 2012. The CD version is set to come out on March 27 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. Being Flynn marks Badly Drawn Boy’s (aka Damon Gough) second major film music project following his bestselling soundtrack for the Hugh Grant-starring comedy drama About a Boy in 2002. The movie is directed by Paul Weitz (In Good Company) and stars Robert De Niro, Paul Dano, Julianne Moore and Olivia Thirlby. The film about a young writer who takes a job at a homeless shelter in Boston where one night he discovers his long-absent father seeking a bed will be released in select theaters on March 2.
