Notefornote Music has announced a soundtrack album for the horror comedy Dead Ant. The album features the film’s original score composed by Edwin Wendler (I Spit on Your Grave: Vengeance Is Mine, Unnatural, Tales of Halloween), as well as two bonus tracks not featured in the movie, including a fully fleshed-out version of  the composer’s “triumph theme,” especially arranged and recorded for this album. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 25 (click here to pre-order). A CD version will also be available to order on the label’s website on Friday. Victor Reyes (The Night Manager, Buried, Grand Piano, Red Lights) has composed the original music for the upcoming action thriller Trading Paint. The film is directed by Karzan Kader (Bekas) and stars John Travolta, Shania Twain, Michael Madsen, Toby Sebastian, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers and Kevin Dunn. The movie centers on a down-and-out dirt track racing legend who is drawn back into the winner’s circle after his son joins a competitor’s racing team and incites a competition between father and son. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2018 will be presented on Oscar Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center and televised live on the ABC Television Network. A soundtrack album has been released for the drama Dirty God. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rutger Reinders (Zagros, Broers). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Dirty God is co-written and directed by Sacha Polak and stars Vicky Knight, Katherine Kelly, Eliza Brady-Girard, Rebecca Stone, Bluey Robinson and Dana Marienci. The movie revolves around a young mother who is forced to reconstruct her life after an acid attack leaves her with facial scars. The drama is premiering as the opening night of the International Film Festival Rotterdam this week and will have its international premiere at the Sundance Film Festival a few days later. Jay Wadley (Indignation, The OA, Cruise) has been tapped to score upcoming Netflix limited series Tales of the CityThe show is developed by Lauren Morelli (Orange Is the New Black) based on Armistead Maupin’s books and stars Laura Linney, Olympia Dukakis, Barbara Garrick and Paul Gross who reprise their roles from the 1993 mini-series (scored by John Keane) and its sequels. They are joined by Ellen Page, Murray Bartlett, Charlie Barnett, Josiah Victoria Garcia and May Hong. The drama follows Mary Ann who returns home to San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter and ex-husband, twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career and will quickly be drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal and the residents of 28 Barbary Lane. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for Joe Cornish’s fantasy adventure The Kid Who Would Be King. The album features the film’s original music composed by Damon Albarn’s music collective Electric Wave Bureau (Broken). The soundtrack is now available to download overseas and will be released in the U.S. on January 25 (click here to download the album). The Kid Would Be King is written and directed by Cornish and stars Louis Ashbourne Serkis, Dean Chaumoo, Tom Taylor, Rhianna Dorris, Angus Imrie, Rebecca Ferguson and Patrick Stewart. The film is directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie, Bad Grandpa) and stars Douglas Booth, Machine Gun Kelly, Daniel Webber, Iwan Rheon, Tony Cavalero, Rebekah Graf, Leven Rambin and David Costabile.
