The film is directed by Guan Hu (Mr. Six, Cow) and tells the story of a group of Chinese soldiers and draft dodgers in 1937 who put up a four-day defense of a Shanghai warehouse complex just as Japanese forces are overwhelming China. Soundtrack Album for ITV’s ‘Dark Heart’ Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the ITV series Dark Heart. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Dan Jones (On Chesil Beach, Shadow of the Vampire, My Scientology Movie, The Miniaturist). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 22 and will be available to download here. Dark Heart is written by Chris Lang and stars Tom Riley, Charlotte Riley, Miranda Raison and Anjli Mohindra. The 6-part crime thriller directed by Colin Teague follows Detective Inspector Will Wagstaffe as he investigates brutal and mysterious murders while battling his personal demons and dealing with romantic and family relationships. Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, Adrift, Patrick Melrose, Gunpowder) has been hired to score the upcoming British romantic drama Summerland. The film marks the directorial debut of British playwright Jessica Swale and stars Gemma Arterton, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Penelope Wilton, Tom Courtenay, Lucas Bond and Dixie Egerickx. The World War II-set movie centers on a private and reclusive writer who finds herself being put responsible for the care of a young man after the London Blitz. ‘Holy Lands’ Soundtrack Released

Pigalle Production has released a soundtrack album for the drama Holy Lands. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gregoire Hetzel (Incendies, Ismael’s Ghosts, My Golden Days, Summertime). Also included is Jimmy Cliff’s song Many Rivers to Cross. The soundtrack is now available digitally in France (visit the French Amazon store to check out audio samples). No word yet on a domestic release. Holy Lands is written and directed by Amanda Sthers and stars James Caan, Tom Hollander, Rosanna Arquette, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Efrat Dor.
