The film is directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer (Some Kind of Hate) and stars Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miles Robbins, Sasha Lane, Hannah Marks and Mary Stuart Masterson. The movie centers on a troubled college freshman who suffers a violent family trauma and resurrects his childhood imaginary friend to help him cope. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the slasher sequel Happy Death Day 2U. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Outlander, Battlestar Galactica, Colossal, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) who previously scored 2017’s original Happy Death Day movie. The soundtrack will be released next Friday, February 15 and is will be available to download on Amazon. RCA Records and MBK Entertainment have released H.E.R.‘s new cover version of Aretha Franklin’s Think from the comedy What Men Want. The track, originally written by Franklin & Ted White, is produced by Ryan Tedder and Zach Skelton. The song is now available to download on Amazon. Also listen to the full track after the jump. Academy Awards producers Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss today announced today that Rickey Minor was selected as music director for this year’s 91st Oscars. He is making his debut as the music director and follows such composers as Bill Conti, Marc Shaiman, William Ross and Harold Wheeler who served in the role in previous years. Minor is seven-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee for Outstanding Music Direction and the award in 2017 for Taking the Stage: African American Music and Stories That Changed America.
