Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series BoJack Horseman. The album features Patrick Carney’s theme from the show, Grouplove’s end credits song Back in the 90’s & more. Also included are selections from the show’s original score composed by Jesse Novak (The Mindy Project). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 8, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Garth Stevenson is reteaming with director John Curran (The Painted VeilStone) on the upcoming historical drama Chappaquiddick. The film stars Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, Ed Helms, Bruce Dern, Jim Gaffigan, Olivia Thirlby, Clancy Brown and Taylor Nichols. The movie examines the infamous 1969 incident when Senator Ted Kennedy accidentally drove off a bridge, resulting in the death of campaign worker Mary Jo Kopechner. Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan wrote the screenplay. Mark Ciardi, Campbell McInnes (The RookieMiracleMcFarland, USA) and Chris Cowles (The Vatican Tapes) are producing the project. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Korean thriller Rage (Ikari) in the U.S. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Ryuichi Sakamoto (The Last Emperor, The Revenant, Snake Eyes, The Sheltering Sky). A CD version is currently set to be released on October 27, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The soundtrack has previously been released in Korea and Japan last fall. Rage is directed by Sang-il Lee and stars Ken Watanabe, Mirai Moriyama, Kenichi Matsuyama, Go Ayano, Suzu Hirose, Aoi Miyazaki, Satoshi Tsumabuki and Takara Sakumoto. Rupert Gregson-Williams has been hired to score the upcoming TNT original series The Alienist. The show is developed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Jane Eyre) based on the novel of same name by Caleb Carr and stars Daniel Brühl, Luke Evans, Dakota Fanning, Brian Geraghty, Robert Wisdom, Douglas Smith, Matthew Shear, Matt Lintz, Brian Geraghty and Q’orianka Kilcher. The psychological thriller drama is set in 1896, when a series of gruesome murders of boy prostitutes has gripped the city and follows a newly appointed top cop who calls upon a criminal psychologist and a newspaper illustrator to conduct the investigation in secret. Notefornote Music has released a soundtrack album for the thriller The Drowning. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anton Sanko (Rabbit HoleThe PossessionBig Love, Ouija). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Drowning is directed by Bette Gordon and stars Josh Charles, Julia Stiles, Avan Jogia, Tracie Thoms, John C. McGinley, Deborah Hedwall and Leo Fitzpatrick. The movie is based on the novel by Pat Barker and follows a psychologist who reopens old wounds and an old case after he rescues a drowning person whom he helped convict twelve years earlier. The film is directed by Jon Turteltaub (National TreasureWhile You Were Sleeping, Cool Runnings) and stars Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Jessica McNamee, Ruby Rose and Rainn Wilson. he movie is based on Steve Alten’s novel MEG: A Novel of Deep Terror and centers on an international underwater observation program, led by Chinese scientists, that is under attack by an unknown danger with its deep-sea submersible disabled and trapped at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
