Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel Frozen II directed by Chris Buck & Jennifer Lee and starring Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad. Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, The Muppets, Edge of Tomorrow) has composed the film’s original score and Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez have composed the original songs. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs, as well as a deluxe edition featuring both songs and score. Click here for more information.

Also opening wide is the biographical drama A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood directed by Marielle Heller and starring Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys, Susan Kelechi Watson and Chris Cooper. The film’s original music is composed by Nate Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, The Diary of a Teenage Girl). ‘A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish’ Soundtrack EP Released

WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack EP for the fantasy musical A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish. The 6-track EP features the songs from the movie performed by Laura Marano. Also included is The Math Club’s & Ryan Franks’ Dance of the Christmas Elves. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish is written and directed by Michelle Johnston and stars Marano herself, alongside Gregg Sulkin, Isabella Gomez, Johannah Newmarch and Lillian Doucet-Roche. Mark Ronson’s Songs from ‘Spies in Disguise’ to Be Released

RCA Records will release a soundtrack EP for Blue Sky Studios’ animated feature Spies in Disguise. The 6-track EP features the songs from the movie, including the two original songs submitted for Academy Awards consideration, Freak of Nature written by Mark Ronson, Tommy Brenneck, Ilsey Juber & Alana Chenevert and performed by Ronson & Dodgr, as well as Then There Were Two performed by Ronson & Anderson .Paak who also co-wrote the track with Brenneck. Also included are tracks performed by Lucky Dave, Lil Jon, DJ Shadow and Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. ‘The Mandalorian’ Chapter 3 Soundtrack Released

Walt Disney Records has released the third soundtrack album for the Disney+ original Star Wars series The Mandalorian. The album features the original score from the show’s third episode composed by Academy Award winner Ludwig Goransson (Black Panther, Creed, Community, Venom, Everything Everything). The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon Music. The label has previously released soundtracks for the series’ first two chapters last week. The Mandalorian is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau and stars Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix limited series The Spy. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Happy!, The Man with the Iron Heart, Ransom). The Spy is created by Gideon Raff and stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Hadar Ratzon Rotem, Noah Emmerich and Alexander Siddig. Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish thriller Adiós. The album features the film’s original music composed by Zeltia Montes (Sad Hill Unearthed, Traces of Sandalwood). The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon, where you can also check the full track list and listen to audio clips. A CD version will be coming out next week. Adiós is co-written and directed by Paco Cabezas (Into the Badlands, Mr. Right, Rage) and stars Mario Casas, Natalia de Molina, Ruth Díaz and Carlos Bardem. Proxima is written and directed by Alice Winocour and stars Eva Green, Matt Dillon, Zélie Boulant-Lemesle, Aleksey Fateev, Lars Eidinger and Sandra Hüller. The movie centers on an astronaut and mother who grapples with her commitment to her daughter as she undergoes gruelling physical training for a one-year stint in space. ‘The Two Popes’ Soundtrack Details

Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original movie The Two Popes. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bryce Dessner (The Revenant, The Kitchen, Transpecos) of the rock band The Nationals. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 6, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track is already available to stream/download here. The Two Popes is directed by Fernando Meirelles and stars and stars Anthony Hopkins as Pope Benedict and Jonathan Pryce as Pope Francis. Juan Minujín, Cristina Banegas and María Ucedo are co-starring in the movie, which explores the relationship and opposing visions between two of the most powerful leaders in the Catholic Church. Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Vanity Fair, The Split, Vita and Virginia) has been tapped to score the upcoming new film adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma. The film is directed by Autumn de Wilde and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy, Mia Goth, Miranda Hart, Josh O’Connor, Callum Turner, Rupert Graves, Gemma Whelan, Amber Anderson, Tanya Reynolds and Connor Swindells. The comedy tells the story of Emma Woodhouse as she must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along. Eleanor Catton wrote the screenplay.
