Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Rememory. The album features the film’s original music composed by Gregory Tripi (Manhunt: UnabomberDark Places). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 8, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on AmazonRememory is co-written and directed by Mark Palansky (Penelope) and stars Peter Dinklage, Julia Ormond, Martin Donovan, Anton Yelchin, Henry Ian Cusick and Evelyne Brochu. Taro Iwashiro is reteaming with director John Woo on the upcoming action thriller Manhunt. The film starring Zhang Hanyu, Masaharu Fukuyama, Qi Wei and Ha Jiwon is based on the classic 1970s Japanese feature Kimi yo Fundo no Kawa o Watare and follows an innocent man who sets out to clear his name after his is framed for robbery and rape. Gordon Chan (Painted Skin, he Medaillonand Chan Hing Kai are producing the project. ‘The Simpsons’ Fires Composer Alf Clausen

Variety is reporting that Alf Clausen has been fired from the Fox animated series The Simpsons. The composer who is also known for his music for ALF and Moonlighting has been scoring over 560 episodes of the show since the second season in 1990. Clausen received two Emmy Awards for his work on the series and another 21 Emmy nominations between 1992 and 2011. He also won five Annie Awards, as well as numerous ASCAP Film & Television Music Awards for his Simpsons music. No word yet on who will be taking over Clausen’s job for the show’s twenty-ninth season, which is set to premiere on October 1, 2017 on Fox.

‘Jane’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the documentary Jane have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Philip Glass (The HoursNotes on a Scandal, The IllusionistKoyaanisqatsi, Kundun). The soundtrack will be released on October 6, 2017 by Sony Masterworks and is now available for pre-order on AmazonJane is directed by Brett Morgen (Cobain: Montage of Heck, The Kid Stays in the Picture) and reconstitutes 50-year-old National Geographic footage into a poetic look at primatologist Jane Goodall. The documentary will have its world premiere next month at the Toronto Film Festival and will also screen at the Hollywood Bowl on October 9 with a live orchestral performance of Glass’ score with the composer and director in attendance. Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) is composing the original score for the upcoming BBC mini-series Gunpowder. The historical  thriller is created by Ronan Bennett (Public Enemies) & Daniel West and stars Kit Harington, Liv Tyler, Peter Mullan, Edward Holcroft, Shaun Dooley, Robert Emms, Derek Riddell and Mark Gatiss. The 3-parter follows British activist Guy Fawkes and a group of provincial English Catholics as they plan to blow up the House of Lords and kill King James I in the early 17th century. J. ‘Narcos’ Season 3 Soundtrack Details

Gaumont elevision will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Narcos. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s third season composed by Pedro Bromfman (RoboCop, Elite Squad). Also included is Rodrigo Amarante’s main titles theme, as well as tracks by Rodolfo Aicardi, Omara Portuondo and Angel Canales. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 1, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Lakeshore Records has previously released several a score album and two song albums for Season 1, as well as a soundtrack for Season 2. Michael Brook has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama My Days of Mercy. The film is directed by Tali Shalom-Ezer and stars Ellen Page, Kate Mara, Amy Seimetz and Elias Koteas. The movie centers on the daughter of a man on death row falls in love with a woman on the opposing side of her family’s political cause. Joe Barton (iBoy, The Ritual) wrote the screenplay. Decca Classics will release a soundtrack album for the FX and BBC One original series Taboo. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Max Richter (The LeftoversWaltz with BashirDisconnectMiss Sloane) who received his first Emmy Award nomination for his work on the project. The soundtrack is set to be released physically on September 15, 2017 and is now available as an import on Amazon. Christophe Beck is currently scoring the historical drama The 12th Man. The film is directed by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid, Agent Cody Banks) and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Thomas Gullestad, Marie Blokhus and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen. The movie is set in northern Norway and chronicles the journey of Jan Baalsrud, who was the only one out of 12 resistance fighters, to escape the Germans following a failed raid at Bardufoss in 1943.
