Alan Silvestri has signed on to score the upcoming fantasy adventure The Witches. The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis and stars Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, Chris Rock, Jahzir Kadeem Bruno and Codie-Lei Eastick. The movie is based on Roald Dahl classic book and tells the story of a young orphaned boy who, in late 1967, goes to live with his loving Grandmain the rural Alabama town of Demopolis, where they come across some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches. Randy Newman has recently composed the original music for Noah Baumbach’s, currently untitled, upcoming Netflix original movie. The film is written and directed by Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale, Greenberg, Frances Ha) and stars Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, Laura Dern, Merritt Wever, Azhy Robertson, Alan Alda and Kyle Bornheimer. The show will tell a family story that interweaves modern-day and 1959 Detroit, centering on a mystery uncovered by a young musician who moves back to her childhood home. Kyle Jarrow (SpongeBob SquarePants musical) is writing the series and is also executive producing the Fox 21 Television Studios production with Alice Keys, Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies), R.J. ‘Big Little Lies’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Announced

Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Dark Money. The album features the show’s original music composed by Sarah Warne (Humans, Prey, Catching a Killer). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, July 26, 2019 and will be available to download here. Dark Money is written by Levi David Addai, directed by Lewis Arnold and stars Rebecca Front, Babou Ceesay and Max Fincham. The 4-parter centers on an ordinary working-class family from North London whose youngest son has recently finished filming a major Hollywood movie role, when he reveals he was abused whilst out in America by a renowned filmmaker. Simon Franglen (The Magnificent Seven, Peppermint, Pandora: The World of Avatar) has recently composed the original score for the upcoming Chinese fantasy romance Turandot. The film is directed by Xiaolong Zheng (Empresses in the Palace) and stars Guan Xiaotong and Dylan Sprouse. The movie is based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera of the same title and follows a princess who is cursed by a mysterious power emanating from three Mazovian bracelets that were given to her as birthday gifts and an ordinary citizen who risks his life to save her.
