The track performed by Saint Motel and written by the band’s lead singer A/J Jackson is now available on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the comedy Like a Boss. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) & Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Dumplin’, Keeping Up with the Joneses). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 10 and will be available to stream/download here. Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow, Trolls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jake Monaco (Dumplin’, Keeping Up with the Joneses, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie) have recently been recording their score for the upcoming comedy Like a Boss. The film stars Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair and Karan Soni. The movie follows two female friends who build a successful company, then find their relationship tested following a buyout offer. Sam Pitman & Adam Cole-Kelly wrote the screenplay.
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith Scoring Miguel Arteta’s ‘Duck Butter’
Composer and synth experimentalist Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is making her major feature film scoring debut on the upcoming indie comedy Duck Butter. The film is directed by Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl, Cedar Rapids, Beatriz at Dinner) and stars Alia Shawkat, Laia Costa, Mae Whitman, Hong Chau and Kate Berlant. The movie centers on aa one-night stand between two women that turns into a sexual experiment to have sex every hour for 24 hours. Arteta and Shawkat have also co-written the screenplay. Mel Eslyn (The One I Love, Blue Jay) and Natalie Qasabian (Searching) are producing the project.

Mark Mothersbaugh has composed the score for the upcoming comedy Beatriz at Dinner. The film is directed by Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl, Youth in Revolt, Cedar Rapids) and stars Salma Hayek, John Lithgow, Chloe Sevigny, Connie Britton, Jay Duplass, Nina Arianda, Amy Landecker and John Early. The movie centers on the relationship between an immigrant from a poor town in Mexico who has drawn on her innate kindness to build a career as a health practitioner and a cutthroat, self-satisfied billionaire who meet at a dinner party. Mike White (School of Rock, Orange County, Nacho Libre) wrote the screenplay.

Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The album features the songs from the film, including the new tracks Hurricane by The Vamps, Best Worst Day by Justine Dorsey, as well as songs by The Narwhals, Charles William and IDK & The Whatevs. Also included is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, Buffy the Vampire Slayer). The soundtrack will be released on October 7, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Christophe Beck has signed on to score the upcoming family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The movie is directed by Miguel Arteta (The Good Girl, Youth in Revolt) and stars Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Dylan Minnette, Ed Oxenbould, Megan Mulally, Jennifer Coolidge and Bella Thorne. The movie is based on the 1972 illustrated children’s classic by Judith Viorst and follows a boy who has a very horrible day and finds out that other people can have them too. Rob Lieber has written the screenplay. Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Real Steel) is producing the 21 Laps Entertainment production with Dan Levine, alongside Lisa Henson, CEO of the Jim Henson Company.
