Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the drama Hustlers written and directed by Lorene Scafaria and starring Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo and Cardi B. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. STX Entertainment’s head of music Jason Markey serves as the project’s music supervisor. No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening wide is the film adaptation of The Goldfinch directed by John Crowley and starring Ansel Elgort, Nicole Kidman, Oakes Fegley, Aneurin Barnard, Finn Wolfhard, Sarah Paulson, Luke Wilson, Jeffrey Wright, Ashleigh Cummings and Willa Fitzgerald. Lissie’s ‘Dragula’ Cover from ‘Haunt’ Released

Lionboy Records has released the cover version of Rob Zombie’s song Dragula by singer/songwriter Lissie from Scott Beck’s & Bryan Woods’ horror thriller Haunt. The track is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the full song after the jump. Haunt is written and directed by Beck & Woods and stars Katie Stevens, Will Brittain and Lauryn Alisa McClain. ‘Low Tide’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the indie thriller Low Tide. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, Blue Ruin, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Hold the Dark). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Low Tide is written and directed by Kevin McMullin and stars Keean Johnson, Jaeden Martel, Alex Neustaedter, Daniel Zolghadri, Kristine Froseth and Shea Whigham. The movie revolves around three troublemaking friends, who spend their summer days on the boardwalk, breaking into local vacation homes at night, in search of valuables they can pawn to fund their antics. MGM Records and 12Tone Music have released the first original song from the animated feature The Addams Family. The track is written and performed by Migos, KAROL G, Snoop Dogg & Rock Mafia. The song, entitled My Family, is now available to stream and download as a digital single on Amazon. Also check out the lyric video after the jump. Another original song (by Christina Aguilera) from the movie will be released within the next couple of weeks. The Addams Family is directed by Conrad Vernon & Greg Tiernan and features the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and Allison Janney. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Sound of Silence. The album features the film’s original music composed by Will Bates (The Looming Tower, The Path, I Origins, The Magicians, Imperium). The soundtrack is now available to download and stream on Amazon Music, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Sound of Silence is co-written and directed by Michael Tyburski and stars Peter Sarsgaard, Rashida Jones, Tony Revolori, Austin Pendleton and Bruce Altman. The movie centers on a successful “house tuner” in New York City, who calibrates the sound in people’s homes in order to adjust their moods, as he meets a client with a problem he can’t solve. The track, which is performed by Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus & Lana Del Rey, is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. OVO Sound and Warner Records have released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Top Boy. The album features a selection of songs inspired by the show’s third season, including Behind Barz by Drake (who serves as an executive producers on the new season), as well as tracks by Little Simz and Dave (who both appear in the drama), AJ Tracey, Fredo, Ghetts, SL, Headie One, Avelino, M Huncho and Young Teflon. ‘Lucy in the Sky’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for Noah Hawley’s sci-fi drama Lucy in the Sky. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy, The Act) who has previously collaborated with Hawley on FX’s Fargo and Legion, among other projects. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 4, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Lucy in the Sky is co-written and directed by Hawley and stars Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Zazie Beetz, Dan Stevens, Colman Domingo, Pearl Amanda Dickson and Ellen Burstyn. The movie centers on a strong woman whose determination and drive as an astronaut take her to space, where she’s deeply moved by the transcendent experience of seeing her life from afar. ‘Cracked Up’ to Feature Original Song Written by Diane Warren & Performed by Macy Gray

Academy Award-nominated songwriter Diane Warren has written the original song Hide the Hurt for the documentary Cracked Up. The track is performed by Macy Gray and will be released as a digital single tomorrow, September 13 by Artistry Music and will be available to stream and download on Amazon Music. Also listen to the song after the jump. Warren who has been Oscar-nominated four out of the last five years has previously contributed original songs for this year’s Late Night, Breakthrough and Miss Bala. Cracked Up directed by Michelle Esrick follows the comedian, actor, and SNL icon Darrell Hammond and examines the lasting effects of childhood trauma. Milan Records and Sony Music Masterworks have announced a soundtrack album for the Netflix anime original series Seis Manos. The album features the selections of the show’s original music composed by Carl Thiel (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, The Teller and the Truth).
