Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/Argentine war drama While at War (Mientras dure la guerra). The album features the film’s original music composed by director Alejandro Amenábar (The Others, The Sea Inside). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also in the works. While at War is co-written and directed by Amenábar and stars Karra Elejalde, Eduard Fernández, Santi Prego, Tito Valverde, Luis Bermejo and Nathalie Poza. The limited series is written by Peter Bowker (The A Word, Capital) and stars Sean Bean, Lesley Manville, Jonah Hauer-King, Helen Hunt, Julia Brown, Zofia Wichłacz, Brian J. Smith, Parker Sawyers, Tomasz Kot, Bruno Alexander, Johannes Zeiler and Eugénie Derouand. The show follows the first year of World War II told through the intertwining fates of ordinary people drawn from Britain, Poland, France, Germany and the United States as they grapple with the effect of the war on their everyday lives. ABC Studios has released the title song In the Mix from the new ABC comedy Mixed-ish. The track is written and performed by Mariah Carey and produced by herself and Daniel Moore. Siddhartha Khosla is composing the original score for the new NBC comedy Sunnyside. The show is created by Matt Murray & Kal Penn who also stars in the series, alongside Kiran Deol, Moses Storm, Diana Maria Riva, Samba Schutte, Poppy Liu and Joel Kim Booster. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi drama Ad Astra directed by James Gray and starring Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland. The film’s original music is composed by Max Richter (The LeftoversMary Queen of ScotsHostiles, Waltz with Bashir). Deutsche Grammophon has released a digital single featuring a track of the composer’s score (click here for more details). Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Lego Batman Movie) is credited as additional music composer (click here to listen to a track from Balfe’s score).

Also opening wide is the action movie Rambo: Last Blood directed by Adrian Grunberg and starring Sylvester Stallone, Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adrianna Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim, Joaquin Cosio and Oscar Jaenada. Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3Avengers: Age of UltronFast & FuriousCrazy Rich Asians) who has previously scored 2008’s Rambo has composed the film’s original music. Netflix has announced today that Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, The Bridges of Madison Country, Honeymoon in Vegas) is set to compose new music for a movie adaptation of the stage musical 13: The Musical. Tamra Davis (Billy Madison, Crossroads) is attached to direct the film and Robert Horn (Teen Beach Movie, Good Advice) will adapt the script based on the book he co-wrote with Dan Elis. The movie follows a teenage boy as he grapples with his parents’ divorce, prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah, and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the action horror movie Doom: Annihilation. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Field of Lost Shoes, Hangman, The Scorpion King: Book of Souls). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 27, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Doom: Annihilation is directed by Tony Giglio and stars Amy Manson, Dominic Mafham, Luke Allen-Gale and Nina Bergman. The movie executive produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura & John Wells is based on the Doom video game franchise and follows a group of space marines as they respond to a distress call from a base on a Martian moon, only to discover it’s been overrun by demonic creatures who threaten to create Hell on Earth. The track is performed by Bebe Rexha who also co-wrote the track with The Futuristics, Michael Pollack, Nate Cyphert, Evan Sult, Aaron Huffman, Jeff Lin and Sean Nelson.
