MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the Iranian animated feature The Last Fiction. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christophe Rezai (A Dragon Arrives!, Negar). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon. The Last Fiction written and directed by Ashkan Rahgozar is based on chapter of the Shahnameh, Iran’s millennium-old national epic, and tells the story of Kaveh, a blacksmith who leads a revolt to destroy the devil that has appeared in a prince’s soul. Frederik Wiedmann is reuniting with director Johnny Martin on the upcoming thriller Alone. The film starring Donald Sutherland, Tyler Posey, Summer Spiro and Robert Ri’chard follos a man who who barricades himself inside his apartment when his complex is overrun by infected screamers and discovers a girl across his courtyard who is also trapped inside her house and must find a way out for both of them. Waxwork Records has released a soundtrack album for the HBO original series The Righteous Gemstones. The album features the original score from the show’s first season composed by Joseph Stephens (Observe and Report, Eastbound & Down, Flower, Vice Principals). Also included is the song Misbehavin’ written by Stephens, Danny McBride & Edi Patterson and performed by Aimee-Leigh & Baby Billy, as well as tracks by Heavy Young Heathens and The Math Club. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the biographical drama Harriet. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Malcolm X, Inside Man, The 25th Hour, Red Tails). Also included is Cynthia Erivo’s original song Stand Up, which is already available as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically this Friday, November 1. Lakeshore Records will release the first-ever soundtrack album for Lasse Hallstrom’s 2012 Swedish crime thriller The Hypnotist (Hypnotisören). The album features the film’s original music composed by Oscar Fogelström (Aurora). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 1 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Hypnotist is directed by Hallstrom (The Cider House Rules, Chocolat, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, A Dog’s Purpose) and stars Tobias Zilliacus, Mikael Persbrandt and Lena Olin. THR is reporting that Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) has composed the original music for a new musical film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol from Walt Disney Pictures. The movie, entitled Marley, will be directed by Bill Condon (Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, Dreamgirls, Mr. Holmes), and is told through the eyes of Jacob Marley, the deceased business partner of Ebenezer Scrooge.
