Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the murder mystery Knives Out written and directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Katherine Langford and Christopher Plummer. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom, Don Jon, Looper). Cut Narrative has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening nationwide is the drama Queen & Slim directed by Melina Matsoukas, written by Lena Waithe and starring Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith. Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) (Palo Alto) has composed the film’s original score.
