Sony Music India has released a soundtrack album for the musical romance 99 Songs. The album features the original songs from the movie composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, The Hundred-Foot Journey, Million Dollar Arm, Elizabeth: The Golden Age) who is also producing the film and has made his screenwriting debut on the project. Also included is a track from the composer’s score (check out The Oracle after the jump). Ram Khatabakhsh (The Hunger Games Exhibition, Transformers Autobots) is currently scoring the upcoming sci-fi film Skylin3s. The third installment in the Skyline franchise is written and directed by Liam O’Donnell and stars Lindsey Morgan, Jonathan Howard, Alexander Siddig, Rhona Mitra, Daniel Bernhardt and James Cosmo. The movie follows Captain Rose Corley who, after a deadly virus threatens to turn the now earth-dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what’s left of humanity. AMC Greenlights Musical Anthology Series ‘American Anthem’

AMC has announced today that it has greenlit the musical anthology series American Anthem. Singer/songwriter and The Hold Steady member Craig Finn will compose the original songs and T Bone Burnett (O Brother, Where Art Thou?, True Detective, Nashville) will serve as the project’s music producer. The show is created by Scott Z. Burns (The Report, Contagion) and executive produced The 8-part musical dramedy tells the story of a middle class midwestern family tumbling down the ladder of American society; periodically bursting into song as they struggle to catch themselves.
