Opening in virtual theaters today is the documentary Capital in the Twenty-First Century directed by Justin Pemberton and based on the international bestseller by French economist Thomas Piketty. The film’s original music composed by AIR’s JB Dunckel (K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Cyprien). Prototype Recording has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score in March. Also opening in virtual theaters before premiering on VOD on June 2 is the documentary The Infiltrators directed by Alex Rivera & Cristina Ibarra about a group of young immigrants who get detained by Border Patrol, and put in a shadowy for-profit detention center – on purpose. tomandandy (The Strangers, Resident Evil: Retribution, The Mothman Prophecies, The Rules of Attraction) have composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, is being released by Oscilloscope Laboratories.
