Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series Perry Mason developed by Ron Fitzgerald & Rolin Jones and starring Matthew Rhys, John Lithgow, Juliet Rylance, Tatiana Maslany, Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Stephen Root, Gayle Rankin, Nate Corddry, Eric Lange and Robert Patrick. The show’s original music is composed by Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, Malcolm X, 25th Hour, Da 5 Bloods). Premiering on Wednesday, June 24 is the Netflix documentary Athlete A directed by Bonni Cohen & Jon Shenk about Larry Nassar’s systematic abuse of young women on the USA Gymnastics team. Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Pollock, Ugly Betty, The Biggest Little Farm) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The American Runestone’ Soundtrack Album Released

A-Stream Productions has released a soundtrack album for the Viaplay docu-series The American Runestone. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Henrik Åström (Internment, Holding the Wire, Cowboys and Indians, Child of Grace). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The American Runestone tormare is executive produced by Peter Stormare, Nina Lund & Glenn Lund and explores the role played by Viking explorers in Europe’s discovery of North America. The series follows Stormare on a personal and often humorous journey through Minnesota to uncover the truth about the founding of America through meetings with scholars, skeptics and sensationalists. Zbigniew Preisner (Three Colors, The Secret Garden, When a Man Loves a Woman, At Play in the Fields of the Lord) has composed the original score for the upcoming Columbian drama Forgotten We’ll Be (El olvido que seremos). The film is directed by Fernando Trueba (Belle Epoque, Chico & Rita) and stars Javier Cámara, Daniela Abad, Aida Morales, Patricia Tamayo and Juan Pablo Urrego. The movie is based on Héctor Abad Faciolince’s novel of the same title and tells the true story of his father, Colombian human rights activist Héctor Abad Gómez,  a man torn between the love of his family and his political fight set in the violence-riddled Colombia of recent decades. Already out on VOD since this past Thursday is the psychological thriller You Should Have Left written and directed by David Koepp and starring Kevin Bacon, Amanda Seyfried, Avery Essex and Geoff Bell. The film’s original music is composed by Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disturbia,  The Odd Life of Timothy Green). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on Thursday. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the Australian comedy drama Babyteeth directed by Shannon Murphy and starring Eliza Scanlen, Toby Wallace, Emily Barclay, Eugene Gilfedder, Essie Davis and Ben Mendelsohn. Amanda Jones (Son of a Lion, Look Both Ways) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been released. The movie, which revolves around a family that juggles first love, suburban malaise, and heavy pharmaceuticals, premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival and is being released in the U.S. by IFC Films. ‘Outlaw King’ Soundtrack Album Released

Rock Action Records has released a full soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Outlaw King. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grey Dogs. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Milan Records has previously released a single featuring three tracks from Grey Dogs’ score when the movie premiered back in 2018. Outlaw King is directed by Outlaw King is directed by David Mackenzie and stars Chris Pine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Florence Pugh and Billy Howle. The movie is set in 14th-century Scotland and tells the true story of Robert The Bruce as he claims the crown and leads a fierce uprising to win back the country’s independence from English rule. Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, The Rover, 99 Homes, I Am Mother, Adore) has composed the original music for the Australian comedy drama Rams. The film is directed by Jeremy Sims (Last Cab to Darwin) and stars Sam Neill, Michael Caton, Miranda Richardson, Asher Keddie, and Hayley McElhinney . The movie is based Grímur Hákonarson’s 2015 Icelandic feature of the same title (scored by Atli Orvarsson) and tells the story of a decades-long feud between two sheep farming brothers which comes to a head when disaster strikes their flocks. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Disney+ docu-series The Imagineering Story. The album features the show’s original music composed by Jeff Kryka (Sophie Gold, the Diary of a Gold Digger). The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Imagineering Story is executive produced and directed by Leslie Iwerks and chronicles the sixty-seven year history of Walt Disney Imagineering. The show is narrated by Angela Bassett and centers on the little-known design and development center of The Walt Disney Company that has created, designed and built twelve Disney theme parks around the world. Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller Body Cam. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Annabelle, Dark Skies). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 19 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. The label has previously released Mary J. Blige’s original song Can’t Be Life from the movie. Body Cam is directed by Malik Vitthal and stars Mary J. BligeNat Wolff andDavid Zayas. The movie follows a police officer investigating a fellow officer’s murder who discovers an evil spirit targeting the cops in her unit, uncovering a sinister secret surrounding the shooting and cover up of an unarmed youth. To be released as a digital single tomorrow is Platt’s cover of Corner of the Sky from Stephen Schwartz’s musical Pippin, as well as Run Away (written by Platt for his debut album Sing to Me Instead) as featured in Season 2 of the comedy.
