Opening in limited release this weekend is the sci-fi thriller Possessor written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg and starring Andrea Riseborough, Christopher Abbott, Rossif Sutherland, Tuppence Middleton, Sean Bean and Jennifer Jason Leigh. The film’s original music is composed by Jim Williams (Raw, Beast, Kill List, Sightseers, A Field in England). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters before premiering on Apple TV+ on October 23 is the comedy On the Rocks written and directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Bill Murray, Rashida Jones and Marlon Wayans. The French indie pop band Phoenix (Lost in Translation, Somewhere) has composed the film’s original music. Glassnote Entertainment has released a first song by the band as a digital single this summer. ‘Babyteeth’ Soundtrack EP Released

LilliPilli IP has released a soundtrack album for the Australian comedy drama Babyteeth. The 4-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Amanda Brown (Son of a Lion, Look Both Ways). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Babyteeth is directed by Shannon Muphy and stars Eliza Scanlen, Toby Wallace, Emily Barclay, Eugene Gilfedder, Essie Davis and Ben Mendelsohn. Jamison Hollister is the composer of the new Showtime limited series The Good Lord Bird. The show is based on the National Book Award-winning novel of the same title by James McBride and stars Ethan Hawke, Ellar Coltrane, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Beau Knapp, Nick Eversman, Jack Alcott and Mo Brings Plenty, as well as guest stars Daveed Diggs, David Morse, Steve Zahn, Maya Hawke, Wyatt Russell and Orlando Jones. The 7-part drama is told from the point of view of a fictional enslaved boy who becomes a member of controversial abolitionist John Brown’s motley family of soldiers during Bleeding Kansas and eventually finds himself participating in the famous 1859 raid on the U.S. Armory at Harpers Ferry. Maya Records has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Sneakerheads. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Haim Mazar (The Iceman, The Taking of Deborah Logan, I Am Wrath) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, Apple Music and Spotify. Sneakerheads is created by Jay Longino and stars Allen Maldonado, Andrew Bachelor, Yaani King Mondschein, Jearnest Corchado, Matthew Josten, Justin Lee and Aja Evans. The comedy produced by Complex Networks follows a former sneakerhead turned stay-at-home dad as he gets back in the game only to quickly find himself five G’s in the hole after falling for one of old friend’s get-rich-quick schemes. Varese Sarabande has announced a new deluxe edition soundtrack album for the 1995 sci-fi horror movie Village of the Damned directed by John Carpenter and starring Christopher Reeve, Kirstie Alley, Linda Kozlowski, Michael Paré, Mark Hamill and Meredith Salenger. The 2-CD set features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter (Halloween, The Fog, Big Trouble in Little China, Escape from New York) himself and Kinks guitarist Dave Davies, including the original score on the first disc and the content of the 1995 original soundtrack album, plus bonus tracks on the second disc. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for DreamWorks Animation’s 2010 original How to Train Your Dragon movie directed by Chris Sanders & Dean DeBlois and starring Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, T.J. Miller and Kristen Wiig. The album features the complete Academy Award-nominated original score from the film composed by John Powell (The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet), including previously unreleased music, alternate versions and demos. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller Saint Maud. The album features the film’s original music composed by Adam Janota Bzowski. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 9 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track is already available to download here and can also be checked out below. Saint Maud is written and directed by Rose Glass and stars Morfydd Clark, Jennifer Ehle, Lilly Frazer, Lily Knight, Marcus Hutton, Turlough Convery and Rosie Sanson. ‘Bond 25’ Tribute Album Announced

The full details of the Bond 25 tribute album have been revealed. The album features new arrangements of all official James Bond title themes newly recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London. Among the tracks included on the album are Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, For Your Eyes Only, GoldenEye, The World Is Not Enough, You Know My Name and the Oscar-winning Skyfall. The RPO’s recording of Billie Eilish’s No Time to Die will already be available digitally tomorrow (click here to stream/download the track). The full soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on September 23, 2022 (pushed back from the original November 13, 2020 release date) by Decca Records.
